All information I can hand out:

Both Dragonfiend Riders reside inside Nightmare Dungeon. Male version can be found anywhere in the dungeon, but I don't know about the female version yet. Have yet to encounter F version.
Quite low sight chance but very high capture chance, no SG needed for this one, so save your SG if you have any.

Male version seems to spawn more frequently than female version, but it's not confirmed.

Well to be fair, most of the topic has been about the Dragonfiend Rider and not Nulgath himself. I am VERY excited to hear about Nulgath... but now the wait is gonna kill me!!!

RRRRRGGGHH! Why is my luck so horrible! Its been horrible since stress testing. I'm convinced that since I have a past with Nulgath that made him look pathetic, (NPC) so he purposely fudges my RNG! Not likely, but I believe it!

Darklore: If you start working for the Archfeind your capture rates go right up. Alternatively, you can sign a deal with me to temporarily add my luck to your own in finding and capturing Dragon Feind. Just sign here stating that I can take your luck and add it to my own when I am looking for something I want, and it's all yours till you get it...

Also, Was I the first to get Dragon Feind? And which one seems to be rarer? Because I have the green one which apparently is the male, so I got the one I wanted right away too.

Very well, You may have it for the 2 versions of the fiend, but I get your luck in addition to my own for two chars also. A fair trade would you say? But do not go back on me just because you are the darkness of Lore. These are... special... contracts... even if you found a way to go back on them, they will make ANYONE regret it, even you... but then I'm sure you are familiar with the type.

Indeed! Be warned if you or anyone else ever goes back on one of my contracts. I hope my luck is better. I've encountered about 50 or more creatures, but no DFR's. I weep of sadness. Even Darkness is easily saddened.

Dude, I only had the female DFR. I had yet to encounter the male DFR. I hope you will be able to encounter and possess DFR soon.

Thanks. Sadly I still believe you saying "You'll never have DFR." was a curse you involuntarily placed on me. I know you were joking, But I've refresh farmed for hours!

Question for those who have The DragonFiend Rider.

What character were you using when encountering him?

What strategy did you use?
a) Treasure Chest farming.
b)Running Around.
c) Repeatedly Exploring in random spots.
d) Refresh-farming.

And, is he worth using a Soulgem on?

Both C and D. I used Dire Monk to hunt Dragonfiend Rider. Don't use SG on both male and female Dragonfiend Rider because they have high possession rate. Every forumites caught male or/and female Dragonfiend Rider on their first try without SG.

Just keep refreshing the page, login again and then go back to the spot where you want to hunt the character you need.

Go to an area where something spawns you're looking for and if its not what you're looking for, just refresh your page. This is not recommended though. Staff have stated it puts stress on the servers. But there currently isn't a penalty for doing it anyway. I hate my life right now! Over two hours and no DFR sightings!

She may be harder to train ever since he got nerf. I wouldn't really train her.

You know Darklore, I wish you could trade chars in game. I would trade Dragonfeind to you for something cool.

...If I could bring myself to part with it anyway, since it was the first char i caught before anyone else it holds a special place for me even though i'm not a big fan of it.
