I had no boosts until 1st Upholder, so I know how it is to farm without boosts and it SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS x99999. Spending 50,000 on Love Weaver was probably the hardest thing ever to do. :/

And about that. .. true. Problem is, too big of a gap between Sg buyers and free-players, waaaay too big. Thing is:

Satisfy Non-buyers, too easy for Buyers.

Satisfy Buyers, IMPOSSIBLE for non-buyers.

In terms of price and things like that.

Yeah .. . toughie . . .:/

(edit: I only have 1 XPboost. LOL)

But will it be enough to make up for how much the cards cost? It seems like it would be a lot better if you didn't have to give up the cards so you would have the best of both worlds.

Most of the sgs stuff is terrible all the good characters can be found for free or just come up with a good strategy and CC isn't everything Axel won the fire tournament without using a single Fire CC card.

@APPLECORE you and a lot of other people do to.

Right, the way I see it it could work like this, the more cards you put in of more value the better the thing/ For example:

1 100 card: You get sneered at. (Kidding. You get some info about a character you can find.
2 100 cards: You get a information about a secet area.
3 100 cards: You get info about a character AND a secret area.
4 100 cards: You get info abouut a secret area, a charf and a artifact or card that can be found.

1 200 card: 1000 gold and XP
2 200 cards: 2000 gold and XP
goes up with more cards

I'm sure you get the idea, basicly, you are garanteed to get something equal in value to the cards you put in, but in a different fashion. I will allow you to debate the cards worth.

I thought of something you might like Jop.

So how about a motivator for getting CC's? There could be a fairy NPC. So, lets have an example. . . .A fairy named. . . . . . . . . . . ....I don't know, maybe you could name it. LOL.
So anyway, she'd be the Card-Custom fairy. And what happens is, you'll meet her as soon as you hit the Card-Customization button. She'll teach you about CC's, and how they help you
take down the ''bad guys.'' She'll be the one retrieving your cards when you pay her either 4 Soulgems or 15,000 gold of course. And she'll MOTIVATE you to buy cards, giving you rewards on
your card progress. So for example, you have bought a total of 5 Card packs.

Oh good job! You now have a total of 5 card packs. For a reward, I'll give you this ???

If you reach 10 packs, I'll have another reward for you!

If you reach 12 packs, I'll have another reward for you!

If you reach 15 packs, I'll have another reward for you!

If you reach 25 packs, I'll have another reward for you!

If you reach 30 packs, I'll have another reward for you!

And in between those, there could be more specific ones, such as:

Oh wonderful! You have accumulated:

x5 500 Attack cards (Earth)

x5 200 Attack cards (Earth)

x5 100 Pierce cards (Earth)

x3 Shields (Earth)

Here is a reward!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh wonderful! You have accumulated:

x20 Attack cards (In total)

x15 Shields (In total)

x10 Spell cards (In total)

Here's a reward!

Wow, you have managed to get at least one of every Card! I'll be honored to fight for you! (Pet)

Of course the rewards would be from a selection like I mentioned before and all.

So what do you think Jop? A motivator for buying CCs!

People who have sgs would get all of that in one day I have over 80 101 for at least 3 elements and I don't even use sgs on CC cause its a waste IMO.

Well maybe small rewards? Enough to be noticed and taken into consideration, but not GAME CHANGING.

And yeah see. . . .the difference of pricing between Buyers/Nonbuyers is HUGE. I think that's one of the biggest mistakes. . . but what is done has been done .. . :(

Yes, I like it a lot. The difference between buyers and nonbuyers is huge as you said, so from the standard of someone without X-Boosts it seems fair. And you kind of half to do it from the standard of someone without X-Boosts because the majority of people are/will be free players.

@The Jop most people will be buyers or thats the plan at least. All the other AE games have some kind of paid membership wouldn't be wrong to say OS will to its just Nulgath being busy is preventing it.

What game has most of the people being buyers? Every AE game has free players as the majority.

You can't really grow as a F2P game with the majority of people being buyers. It'll never pass 1000 consistent players if that was the case.

OS is game that was made to make a profit if it doesn't make a profit it would die no matter how many people played it.

It will profit the more free players start playing it and spread the word. If it was mostly paying players the game would barely ever grow because so few people are playing it, so they will make very few people aware enough of the game to join it, compared to mostly free players where thousands of people are spreading the word constantly.

What's most important is to make the game grow, which is done with a majority of free players, so the player base grows and a percentage of that will be paying players. It should easily surpass a community with mostly paying players because it has a much higher growth rate of both free and paying players.

The problem isn't getting more people its getting people to stay when they play. The OS twitter has over 32k likes meaning at least 32k have found OS to be an appealing game OS needs something to bring those people to it and it pains me to say this but that would have to be the very popular things Like Drakath who would get people from other games to start playing this and finishing the BETA most people don't like to play a game that isn't completed cause they know it is bugged.

The problem is getting more people. We have currently gotten about 100 players, and we can make them stay if we make the game enticing enough. 100 people consistently playing the game will make it stagnate, even if they're all paying players. But growing will add a lot of players, both playing and free, and more time AE is willing to spend on the project.

Well, we won't know until the time comes and AE decided to work hard on OS or discontinue it or pull a HS and never leave Beta as people spend money in hopes or getting amazing stuff.

I'n all seriousness OS has already became like HS.

It hasn't been in Beta for as long as Herosmash and it has a larger player base. Larger than about 30 though, so not too impressive. I still think it's possible to save Oversoul, but this year really has to introduce new features for that to happen.

Considering a lot of what I've read about the future prospects of Oversoul, I'd say the game
has great potential of being a very good, unique game.

While it's not my "goto game" I always find Oversoul enjoyable every so often.
When/if Oversoul gets that extra work and functions that we've all been hoping for,
I'll probably play a lot more often!

A fast forward button that makes the CP attack faster.

Water spiral a piercing water card that does 300 pierce damage and heals 200 5 energy
