I would like to see no dot counters or animations for your opponent when applied by a Ninja character so that they won't be able to see moves like Shatter or Mark of Death coming. It seems fitting since Ninjas are supposed to be stealthy by nature. Perhaps other types of creatures could get effects relating to their specialties as well. Either this, or every individual character gets a special ability.

I would only support that if other types of characters also got special abilities, like you said. I don't see any reason to give the small number of ninja characters the only special ability in the game, except for the fact that you like Shadowdance.

Well I did say other creatures of OS would get it too. Either abilities for specific groups or individual abilities. I think the former would be more interesting, personally.

If thats the case slime should take less damage since it doesn't have anything really to hit besides goo and fire attacks should all give a chance to burn about 10%.

That'd be a lot of abilities . . .and it'd take a lot of balancing/testing and so forth. . . .

Abilities would be nice, but I don't want it to turn into something that's more of a restriction. . . .know what I'm sayin'?

As for bigger chatbox. . . . yes indeed. Though maybe, instead of expanding lobby chat, making in-game private chatboxes instead. . . bigger ones. .. that you can move around the screen. . .

And you can invite people to join the private chatbox. . .maximum 4 or 6. . . . minimum 2 of course. xD

How about being able to capture pets like regular character but they are smaller cuter version then the regular all characters would have pet version harder to find then the original that would give a bonus like extra charge per turn

Or how you use Pets to locate hidden locations, dungeons, or even items on the map that you can pick-up?

To be honest, so what if it takes a lot of perfecting to complete? Anything that is worth having is worth working for. This should go for all the features OS is yet to have. Especially CC, I feel they could have worked on it a bit longer. Besides, how would abilities be restrictive?

On the pets, Rev drew up plenty of characters that have pets as part of the character. I believe it was meant for GQ. I hope GQ wasn't scrapped. It was hyped up for a short while and was never spoken of since.

Every character is like a pet, I don't know why there needs to be a distinction.

No, the character is a vessel for you to fight in.

A pet assists you on their own will, a companion. I don't think a corpse counts as that. . . .

Never said abilities will be restrictive, I just said they CAN be turned into something like a restriction, because if only a little bit of abilities are made, then they lose their uniqueness . . know what I'm sayin'? Orc Chieftain and Ogre Mage assist you on their own will, after you pay them. And all the beast characters are like pets. Are you saying you wouldn't be able to play as pets? I don't see the point; if it's introduced it shouldn't be restricted to only characters called pets for some reason.

He did say the pets aren't going to work like the way you think, so really I'm trusting Nulgath to bring them in the game in his own way. Seems interesting.

I don't take screenshots of everything, but I do remember. Don't believe me if you want, but I do remember reading that.
Go back and try to find it if you want, but I know it's there >.> Unless it got scrapped or changed when I was on Oversoul hiatus.

@The Jop: You can find it in the Help tab on Oversoul's website. Just control find your way to pets and you should see a q/a about his meaning of pets for this game.

Lol relax, I'm not accusing you of anything. You mentioned it could be turned into a restriction and I wanted to know how. Anyway, I don't know why you would think "a little bit of abilities" would be made. There are tons of species in OS so there would naturally be a lot of abilities to encounter in PvP/PvE if we follow my idea. I can't fathom how one could grow to expect a dominant ability in every single battle.

From what it says in the help section, it seems pets will just be part of self-contained characters, like the falconers that Rev drew earlier.

Yeah, it is seems solid to assume those are the type of pets Nulgath was talking about. Too bad we have like 0 confirmation that they will be released considering they were made for GQ that no one knows about anymore

Lol this thread won't even be taken into consideration anyway unless the development of OS is fast-paced and Nulgath would actually NEED our advice. Whatever I write in this thread I tend to take that into account. In other words, everything I would like to see would most likely be in the distant future of OS when we have flying cars in real life (I'm being sarcastic here to make a point).

metal would deal with the machine characters.

AQW has a lot of love themed characters such as love slime.

Bacon is an awesome element in dragonfable.

Metal = We already have Neutral (IRONhide) and Earth.

Love = Not in OS .. . .e.e . . ..

I've always found it strange that Oversoul lacked the element of wind. I suppose we could clump it with Neutral but it doesn't feel right. Somehow I don't see new elements as a possibility but you never know what could happen.
