I'm trying to find out how to get hold of, and redeem, the code for the Flame Draconian class. I have Founder in Dragons but I have that account registered on a different e-mail than my Portal account, will that affect anything? I'm wondering since 1) I can't find anything to redeem on my Portal account and 2) I can't find any code in Dragons...

Does anyone know?

Go to the quests section on your portal account and there will be something that says "AQ Dragons Founder Scanner for Oversoul Prize" click it and it gives you instructions on how to get the prize.

Hi! So can we have a discussion on the strongest characters in the game...as well as strongest elements and cards?
I for one think:

Top Characters/Souls:

Founder Champion
Omni Knight
Void Rebirth
Time Gentleman
Dynasty Warrior
Nulgath's Shadow
Rev
Headless Horseman
Father Time
Pactonal Captain
Rainbowtheus
Void Champion
Cyber Void

I for one, don't have FC, Omni Knight, Rev and Void Champion. Let's narrow this list down, and give me some suggestions to what ubers I missed.

Most of those aren't even tier 3 characters.

Founder Champion is outclassed by Templar, which has a slightly better version of FC's deck (nearly identical but with 15 cards as opposed to 17 with unnecessary cards cut out to help draw CC'd cards and Greater Heals).

Omni Knight appeared very good on paper but takes a while to get set-up, requires luck to get its charge cards early/before the cards you need them for, and it's often killed before it can get very far.

Void Rebirth is the best Fire character in the game by a good amount, but as a whole the Fire element is still relatively weak.

Time Gentleman isn't as good as Volt Engineer because of Tazer's extra cost and the problems it causes in putting a (Super) Charged attack together quickly. It also has fewer attack cards (8 to Volt's 10). The second Energize can have a situational impact but Energy characters need hands more than they need energy, so it's usually overkill and makes TG less consistent.

Dynasty Warrior is closer to the bottom than the top. It has 3 Water Rapids and 3 Water Crashes, the 3 200's aren't particularly flattering either. The best Water character is Soul Wyvern.

Nulgath's Shadow is notorious for its energy issues. Its deck has a total cost of 88, the second most after Orc Chieftain's 91 (keep in mind that Chieftain has Neutralize to cut that down as well as a large deck so its average card costs less, not that it doesn't also have energy issues.) Its 4 DoT's are nice, but Nulgath's Shadow's 2 Void Reflections and 2 Shadow Fires do more to hurt it than help it. Dual-elementals and combo-attackers are better Shadow character options.

Rev's 3000 innate defence is nice, but it has none of Earth's offensive spells (read Mountain Strike and Earthquake) that its fellow double-Petrifiers do and Tree of Life, its 200's, and Stone Strike aren't particularly helpful. It's outclassed by Tyrant Moose and of course Great Pumpking.

Headless Horseman has a lot of bad attacks. A 100, a 100-Pierce, a 200, and 2 Infernos. Its 3 Fire Balls aren't particularly impressive either as they have the same efficiency as a 500 but can't be combo'd and just serve to convert excess energy that can't be spent better (on cards like Defend, Burn, Fire Whirl, or an Incinerated attack.) All Headless Horseman really has going for it are its 2 copies of Incinerate, which is the best number to have as more than that tends to cause hand issues, but Fire characters with fewer can just CC until they have 2 without a problem. HH can CC Fire Whirls, but at the end of the day it has too many questionable cards for my liking. Dragzirra is cheaper and better as a pure Fire Master, and the aforementioned Void Rebirth easily disposes of every other Fire character.

Father Time is the worst Light Legend, of which there are *eight*. It and Sage of Light suffer because they only have 1 Greater Heal where other options have 2 (FC, Omni Knight, Templar, and Seraphim of Ver) and/or Neutralize (Omni Knight, Queen Aegea and Sentry Lord) which makes up for having 1 by granting access to Corruption. I should mention that Omni Knight has its own issues, but I'd still readily put my money on it against Father Time. Time also has a 16-card deck for no particular reason other than to make its precious singly copy of Greater Heal harder to draw.

Pactonal Captain and Rainbowtheus have no Greater Heal, evidently because they aren't Legends, and they fall short as a result. They have decent offensive Light decks alongside characters like Gold Lycan and Love Machine, but aren't Templar and certainly aren't Queen Aegea.

Void Champion is decent but because it's a pure Shadow character it isn't as good as characters like Poison Drake, Skexis Brood, or Hanzo Void which have an extra energy pool and make the best Shadow characters. Skexis Brood is particularly effective against opponents of its element because it can block their DoT's with Iron Hide while stacking its own. Even among pure Shadow characters, Abomination seems to pretty clearly have an edge over VC as its deck is identical except for a swap of Blood Rage for another Defend, which puts up the same number for the same energy and doesn't cost 300 HP. Black Dragon is also better than VC because of its free extra damage on its attack cards, as Dark Incarnate and Zombie Terror could be because they make for more consistent combo-attackers.

Cyber Void is essentially a worse Volt Engineer as it uses so little Shadow energy (28 total) that its SuperCharged would be better off using its main pool of energy for consistency's sake as is true for Volt Engineer, which defeats the purpose of Cyber Void being dual-elemental. Cyber Void has to use Energize to access SuperCharged (which can be an issue if SuperCharged comes up first). It also has fewer attacks than Volt. All that said, it's still an alright character and can compete against any other Shadow character if you get lucky enough to Energize and then get a decent SuperCharged attack off quickly, but it's not Volt Engineer and could be better off not trying to be..

I stand by my opinion that the best Neutral characters equipped with CC's dominate the top in spite of Gorillo's disagreement on no said basis, as Iron Hide and Corruption are crazy.

quote:

Is the only thing that Iron Hide CANNOT block is being struck by a hit from a counterattack?

Yes, and the only element other than Neutral with a Counter card is Shadow, which Neutral characters can mow through with Corruptions while absorbing Poisons and Marks.

And Resonance.

But yeah, neutral characters are definitely some of the strongest, along with earth. I would add things like Thok and Tyrant Moose to that list.

It's not the first time the Artix.com DN's have been wrong about an OS release happening.

Who's in charge of that anyway? They really need to do something because the design notes on Oversoul.com and Artix.com have been wrong for a while now.

Ok you guys have to realize that its not in game and it makes no sense to keep talking about it and its also the weekend so no release no matter what we have all played OS long enough to know releases get delayed all the time and talking on the forum isn't the best way to get are point across.

Just wait if its on the official homepage its already planned just wait quietly till someone finds the time to release its only one person codes this game at a time if we are lucky that person gets busy with the other games we already know OS isn't as important as the other games and we can't even complain the game isn't that good if it was more than 70ish people would play it a week. Don't say OS never had a chance it had a chance and still didn't get where it needed to be. OS will get a story and the extra stuff sooner or later even if its years so look on the positive side and try and not complain about the small stuff.

If you wanna complain about something complain about how much stuff REV promised that he didn't do like the P drake rank up that won't be coming from him since he's retiring.

I don't think it had a chance; how many times in its development did it have its full staff working on it? That full staff being about a third of most AE games. It just had its very small staff constantly pulled away to work on new projects. There was barely any time where every Oversoul staff member was working on the game together.

It had the full team working on it for a year during which the game didn't make the money to leave beta stage.

Did Warlic and Rolith ever both leave their other games to only work on Oversoul? No, I didn't think so. And nothing happens without coders. They were always working on something else, even Nulgath, who was/has been the only artist and animator for a long time.

Barely anyone from AE works on only one game dude.

You need to realize a few things.
Your job is what Artix ask of you when you work for AE. 2nd lots of people don't wanna work on OS since it had nothing for them to do on it.
OS isn't gonna hiring anymore coders Cysero has made this clear for the pass two years AE has to much money going into mobile projects to hire a new one.

No from AE will strictly work on OS its a waste of a person who could be spending time working on projects that can actually bring in money and new peoples. OS isn't that.

@Lack of Fear
Right, but he was talking about them without CC. With CC, you could just add the stonewalls Rev has, which TFP mentioned as one of his strengths.

@Gorillo
Why even play anymore? You've clearly given up entirely. I wouldn't still be playing this if I thought it would never be anything but mediocre character releases for years to come.

Sorry if I changed the subject, but IMO Father Time is the best light character defence wise...those shields do stack up.

Shields mean nothing vs heal cards which work better for less energy.
