If you have the SG's then Great Pumpking's deck is definitely worth it. It is the best Earth character in the game, displacing Tyrant Moose. Petrify and Iron Hide work very well together to push your opponent up against their energy cap without being able to move through their deck. It's an Energy character's worst nightmare as it can render Energize relatively useless in multiple ways and Energy characters can't play defensively around Iron Hide, they have to waste energy by either charging or attacking. Night Stalker lost one of the three Marks of Death that made Vampire Beast interesting and is more or less a generic Shadow Master. It has 10 attack cards but can't go the combo route nearly as well as Zombie Mutant, mainly due to the Life Drains, not to mention the Marks it does have won't be as good as Zombie Mutants Poisons at higher levels. We'll have to see if it gets another evolution, but then again so could Zombie Mutant. Void Archmage isn't bad and its two native Void Reflections complement its 5 DoTs by ensuring you'll have one VR left after applying initial DoTs to help stave off your opponents attacks as they burn in addition to fending off combo attackers, but as a pure Shadow character it can only get so far in comparison to something like Skexis which is expected to evolve soon. All in all a great three-character release with Great Pumpking being the exclamation point as it wasn't expected, breaks new ground for its element, and justifies the high SG cost from Sprout to PL. I was so caught up in the hype for November that I didn't expect such a great October with characters like Omni Knight, Zombie Mutant, and Great Pumpking, but those in addition to the upcoming Skexis and Rev evolutions make for a bright future.
