Customisation works for AQW, because its a game that relies less on strategy, and mix 'n' match then constant community updates, storyline, which EpicDuel completely differentiates from. EpicDuel is, at its core, functional as a PvP strategy. Thus, it should have endless possibilities. Customisation, rather then aiding it, is ironically killing strategy by narrowing ideas on how to change offense, rather, maximising benefits by choosing the exact stats. For example, making a STR build I would spam the STR stat for all gear. Thats not strategy. Weapons like Caden's Wrath created new paths, gateways, ideas, getting it made Casters more viable, but killed auto attacks. Royal Blades were for STR BH's. Etcetera. Cores are fine, but the stat customisation is not. Now, how to enhance this feature: Make all items cheaper. Now, for all veteran players, gear is all too easy. From thousands of battles, hundreds of thousands of creds are amassed. Yet, new players, who are the ones who keep a player base existing, leave because its so difficult to freshen the gameplay. New gear exists in bountiful numbers, if players could obtain them. Once you set your mind on a set (armor, weapons, bike, robot) you may invest enough time to buy 1 awesome one of each, then no more creds. Nothing, na da. Even afraid that retraining would steal another 15 minutes of playing because creds are so darn precious for new players. Add these both, and EpicDuel can live. Again.
