I'm probably in the minority, but I feel character customization is key to making a game immersive. Too many times I've seen games where you have three hair colors- blue, light blue, and purple. You end up looking like every other character before and after you. Facial changes alone don't work because you're not looking at your character that closely 80% of the time. Body changes are what matter, along with armor design and color. Being able to choose your character's size is a big thing for me, and I would think anyone who wanted to role play as their character. For example, one of my favorite characters is a little warrior girl known for her red hair and short stature. She's a bit on the chubby side too. Most MMOs I see tend to have two body types for women- Barbie doll, and Barbie doll with giant breasts. What if I wanted to play as someone tall and heavy with a lot of power in their arms? What if I wanted to play as someone short and skinny and make them a fast character? I don't have those options most of the time. I can only name a few games where fat characters are even possible, even if the idea isn't popular. Granted, having to animate every single possible body structure is very difficult so I understand why most games don't do it. But being able to stand out in a crowd is important to me. I want to feel like I'm not wasting my time in a game by being unique. I'm the guy who plays the giant girl, or the guy with flashy green armor
