People have the bad behaviour to share their codes right during
Power Hour when players want to farm experience and credits.
This does mean that players have to decide between the code
rewards and double XP/Credits.

It should not be possible to redeem codes during Power Hour
and an half hour before and after it. This would be a 2 hour lock
for each Power Hour. There would remain 20 hours where
codes could be redeemed.

Hardly takes 10 seconds to redeem a code, over all if they give out over 100 codes, its to your benefit, because in that case those codes > npc farming for 1 hour. Though seriously your suggestion is of no use, its their varium ,their codes, their will, what if PH is the hour they can get on and not other times, or if they want to give out a load of codes at the last hour to win the LB Codes, at the last minute etc. There are endless reasons why not to implement your suggestion.

There are more reasons for my suggestion than to not implement my suggestion.
Yesterday right at Power Hour 51 codes have been release at once !
According to your calculation this does take 8.5 minutes to release per character.
A player who has alts can multiplay this by the amount of characters.

 Well sorry, I'd collect codes than battle like most people. Shouldn't be changed if you don't like it. At gifting Nemesis30 did gifts at PH, and I didn't read of any complaints for those who got in.

 This is one thing that just stuck out to me. Let me break down what the OP basically says:

"people are being generous and giving stuff out when I want to do something else. Therefore, people should be forced to give their free stuff out at another time for me to nab since at that time I won't be doing the other thing. This is all so I can get both the free stuff and benefits of power hour"

Not supported. Really, really not a strong reason at all. This is almost the equivalent of saying that updates with limited sale quantity items should not be released at power hour specifically because a person loses out on a fraction of a power hour.

People are not generous when redeeming codes, they do it to push their gift scores and leaderboard ranks and to gain attention.
Additionally they can redeem their own codes to gain the rewards for themselves.

Nope. They can release and share them whenever they want. Just the redeem option would be locked
so it would be delayed to redeem those codes by up to 2 hours.

The reward is nowhere near the varium used to make it...Some do it for the leaderboards, yes, but others do it to give codes to friends.

Locking the redeem option during power hour makes no sense to me.

It does make sense to those that want to farm XP and Credits
during Power Hour without the need to miss codes as they are
busy with playing/farming and donīt want to make decisions
between the rewards and missing one of both (codes vs XP/Credits).
It does not make much sense if those two things overlap each other.

I already have the max cheevo for code giving as well as the prize cheevo, and personally I couldn't care less about the LB position I have. I know for a fact I give codes because there are times I feel like being nice to my friends.

Also yesterday's codes spree was done not only for a friends birthday, but was done way before Power hour. In fact IIRC it was done more than 5 hours prior to power hour. Those codes just had the max amount of redeems on them so that is why they lasted so long. any other time codes would be gone in like 5-10 minutes.

But on the suggestion of this topic 100% not supported.

Everyone has the right to redeem codes whenever they please. Codes are given during power hour then it is your choice whether to redeem them then and continue with PH or choose to wait and hope they don't expire. No one is forcing anyone to redeem a code.
