The mists part. Surroundings become evident, and the wavering figures coalesce into familiar shapes and unfamiliar beings. The sights...the scents...is this real? Or just a fantasy? Are you within a dream, or was the dream merely the journey to where you are now?
Welcome to the final leg of your journey through the Dreamtime!
First there came a character, then there came a setting. With those both assembled, now the focus will be on the story. Once your group has all had step 2 submissions approved, the Dreamtime will create a thread using the name of the setting you all agreed upon. These threads will be have a =Dreamseed= tag, and if you each used your own words to describe the setting, the RP Mod or AK who posts the thread will do their best to make a single representation that is as faithful as possible to each submission for that setting. Further, this thread will contain a list of links to each Dreamseed thread, as well as a notation on if it has graduated.
Graduation of a thread means that each participant has made at least one post, and that those posts have been approved as a solid effort. At that point, participants may continue to post in their graduated thread - effectively turning it into a full-fledged RP! Or they may take what they’ve created thus far and move to the main RP boards, taking time to flesh it out more and establish a central plot and DM so that others can join in. The choice is yours.
Getting that far requires solid posts, though! Your posts will be expected to continue the aspect of collaboration with your peers, while including the aspects of character thoughts presented within your individual step 2 submissions. Alongside length, which should be at least a minimum of around 500 words, it should show signs of quality and thought. Much like in step one, quality need not be perfect grammar, but also consider doing more show than tell to describe the action and your character’s role within it. The post also serves as a test to ensure you do not easily fall into the three big sins of RP: godmoding, bunnying, and metagaming. Signs of any of these will lead to a post failing to be approved.
Unlike the prior steps, you will be allowed to edit the post directly if there happens to be an identified problem. Just don’t remove any Mod or AK edits when you do so, which will be dated for the sake of records.
This thread will also serve as a catch-all OOC for all active =Dreamseed= threads, so you all have a place to collaborate and discuss your work on your posts and any plans if you decide to continue RPing within your respective Dreamseed once it has graduated.
