Assuming this app is even trustworthy... And my connection is hard-wired and great!

I know there is a Q&A's thread. But its dead! I need some serious HELP! I don't care if an AK removes this until I'm banned! I'll do it! AQ3D lately has run so slowly, its unplayable! No matter what I alter, disable or do overall, the game is unplayable!

Sorry about the delayed response, just woke up. It might be easier to know what's causing it if you list the hardware itself, I'm not very familiar with the rating system that site provided admittedly. You can view all of your hardware easily by running Dxdiag on your computer. Hardware to note would be the Processor & how many MB of Memory you have on the System tab, along with the Device in the Display tab.

It was running fine for your previously correct? When did AQ3D start to run poorly for you?

Apologies, I noticed David got to your question before me yesterday so since I was going to ask just about the same thing I wanted to avoid double posting. I just woke up today and noticed you responded to his post so I apologize for not getting to that sooner.

Merged double posts. Please use the edit button. ~Zyrain

Just recently it started running poorly. I'm certain it was running just fine about one or two updates ago. Very strange...

Well, other than your hardware have you manually cleared your cache at all recently?

For the Steam client you can still use the website (https://unity3d.com/webplayer/setup) to clear your cache, or you can even go to C:\Users\YourPCName\AppData\LocalLow\Unity\WebPlayer\Cache and delete everything in the folder here to clear it. Make absolutely sure you don't have AQ3D already running on the browser or on the Steam client when you're clearing your cache or it won't be able to clear fully.

On that note, how exactly is the game running poorly? Is it freezing up, crashing, are the enemies not loading, do loading screens take a long time, do enemies not react to your attacks right away, etc?

Edit: You also noted that you reduced your graphics settings to 1 and removed Bloom & Depth of Field but what is your resolution set to?

1920x1080 Which is the the recommended setting for my monitor. As far as "poorly" Lag so bad I am a whisp and players around me lag while they move in any way! I had the resolution untouched last time I played about last month. It was working perfectly. Now Lag, lag,, and more lag!

EDIT: Cache clear didn't work at all! I even had Steam exited when I did it! I'm really mad now!

Admittedly that sounds a lot more like it's connection related. Could you do a speed test on Speedtest.net for me?

Aside from that huge internet clutter number, how's this?

I'm not sure, Speedtest.net would be preferable as it gives you a straight forward down and up for your results. You can see an example of my results here.

Thanks. From your results it doesn't look like your connection would be the cause. Which makes your case all the more unusual to me since if the game was working fine for you previously then there wouldn't really be a reason for your hardware to be the cause either. Unfortunately I really can't think of what the cause could be.

Silly question but what items or set are currently the hardest to get and/or the strongest in the game. I want to farm them before the open beta in the chance that they might even be harder to acquire then.

I already have all the slimelord items and full AKII. Serpent set is my next target but I want to know if there are more. Thanks!

You've already farmed most of the difficult to obtain stuff in pre-beta. The only other somewhat difficult to obtain stuff I can think of would be the dungeon related stuff, like the bow cape from the Barrow Point dungeon and the craftables from the Umbral Caves in Doomwoodgraveyard.

I would say that the 'Night Guard' set that you find in the 'Rare Doomwood chests' inside 'Umbral Caves' dungeon is quite hard to get.
http://aq-3d.wikidot.com/rare-doomwood-chest

Not only you may be in a dungeon run where there are absolutely no chests, and those chests might not even be the rarest ones. And if you do find a rare chest, It doesn't guarantee a piece of the set. And if it does, it could be a repeat.
I was immensely lucky to barely find any repeats of the set, but it still took me quite long to complete it.

You might not be able to do 50+ dungeon runs in time, but just for the armor piece itself its worth a try (my favourite so far). If you are lucky, you can even get the (even rarer) shovel weapon from those same chests.

Since AQ3D is going on Steam, does that mean it's possible for Guardian to go on sale?

No idea, I don't even know if that kind of content will be made available through Steam.

I got mine a few days ago, and it took me a lot of time, just be sure to always check all possible spots for chests. There is 2 in the room with poison, 2 in the room with the hulking spider and 2 in the room with portals. I completed night guard set twice before i got the shovel so it may be a really low % drop.

@chaosup: Most likely yes, though I don't think the Team has explicitely said anything about it.

So I haven't really played this game since the beginning of April due to the lack of time and I see that there has been a lot of new updates lately. I have a few questions:

1) What are the new updates since April?(I saw things like Dungeons and Item Fusions but can someone explain in more in detail/link the DNs to me)

2) I remember there seeing a Design Notes last week saying that there will a quest reset, is it true?

3) Is there a particular order to play through the quest line? (i.e. from easier fights at low levels and to harder ones at higher levels) When I played, I just joined random places and it ended up to be pretty confusing and tough to complete the quests. When the reset occurs, I want to play it all in order if possible.

4) Is there a good and fast way to farm EXP and Gold? If yes, what is it?

Thanks in advance for answering.

1. You can view all of the Design Notes here. http://aq3d.com/news/

2. Yes, all quests along with gold and exp will be reset.

3. The zones are made in such a way that you can move from area to area to progress. After you've completed the tutorial zones you'll want to enter Greenguardnorth via the entrance in Battleon. From there once you've completed the zone you can continue on to Greenguardsouth from the entrance in Greenguardnorth, then Greenguardcave, Doomwoodforest, etc.

4. Just doing the quests is the best source of EXP and as for gold you'll probably get the most from farming dungeons (especially Umbral Caves once you're the proper level to farm the chests and repeatable quests for it).

Thanks for answering Undead Lunatics. Wow! It seems like a lot of new releases/updates have occurred over the past few months. However is it possible to explain the new features briefly(such as the Item Fusion and Dungeons) because I don't really have a lot of time to read it all.(If you don't mind doing so)

Also, where can I find the level appropriate items for my level? Is it being bought from the shops or can be obtained by questing? I am currently level 6 but I am using the level 2 Alpha Knight gear.(Doesn't really matter as there will be a reset but I just want to know where I can get the level appropriate items once I start over again)

Another question, will there a lookout for new testers in the future? I think there is one currently(not really sure though) but will there be another one next year or anytime in the future?

Item Fusion isn't currently available in the game, however Dungeon entrances can be found on various maps (currently Greenguardnorth & Doomwoodforest) and require you to use Dungeon Keys to enter. Dungeon Keys are a currency that supply on their own over time (1 key every 3 hours) to a maximum cap of 20. When you enter a dungeon you'll be put into a randomized map from the the available dungeon maps and as you progress you'll eventually reach the final map with the boss. If another player is in a dungeon and has space in their group (3 players per dungeon), then when you enter a dungeon you'll be put into their instance and vice versa. Dungeons offer exclusive quests, equipment drops and material drops that can be used in crafting gear around the dungeon's level via speaking with the NPC by the dungeon entrance.

You can find appropriate level gear just by questing in a map of your level, or collecting drops from mobs of your level. You can also browse the various shops available in Battleon for other gear around your level. When the next Beta phase drops in a few days (the 26th), most if not all of the maps will be updated and you'll also be able to craft level appropriate gear via the main NPC on a map. The enemies found on the map will provide the materials needed in crafting the gear.

You are correct, there is in fact a call for testers currently. As for any future calls, there's no specific dates planned for these so it's hard to say. As far as I'm aware Platinum Lady will announce future calls when she feels more testers are needed.
