Thanks for responding to stuff NW. Even if it logically doesn't make much of a difference, I feel like it really makes a strong impression when you state your ideas yourself with your own wording and way of talking.

I understand that the devs can't respond to everything, especially when half if not more of the community just likes to flame the devs as we saw last year during gift giving, but it would be nice if we could hear more stuff straight from the devs' mouths.

perks and privileges usually is received by someone above you (e.g: nepotism, born rich etc...), but high legendary ranks, despite the botting people and exp boosters generally is result of hard work or play, it is absolutely non sense you see it as a perk/privilege and a magic win button, because legendary ranks don't appear on you acc through "magic", nobody gives it to you, and it is not easy to get playing the game. botting is easy but it still delay a lot to reach the rank 80, you have to learn how to botting, and some people can't let the PC botting.

the reason to a lot of players think by this way is because you (the leader designer) maintain the high ranks player design same as a low level player or even a level 1 player with varium equips. then it "looks" unfair those high rank players have more power. however if you had implemented by suggestion about this issue:

- to make clear that a high ranked player is supposed to be more powerful, increase the character size per rank level up.
when the ranks was released, maybe the people would want be high ranked players instead come to the forum try remove them from epic duel or quit the game.

point of this section: legendary ranks concept is not unfair

again, you sound as if it were high rank players vs level 1 people.

reason to the high rank player discourage some low ranked players from playing ever again is not because the power difference is not proportional, it is because the rewards is not proportional.

it happens because you and titan creat the ranking system only thinking about how to make the max level players stay online or/and replace the enhancement system. but almost completely ignore the rewards issue from the low level players and how they will see it. (the high rank players should look as a challenge, but actually they looks like a p2w/booting annoying noob, that's why they people want remove them from ED)

if i remember correctly, the credits reward for win a high ranked player when it was released was always 37 credits, and only only after the effective level (eLV) it got became higher. but the actual rewards for beat a high rank players remains absurdly little in comparison to actual in game items prices and the effort to reach the rank 80, and the power of high rank players only nerfs. (the underdog system is a nerf in high level and ranked players) and then, the underdog got a buff, other power nerf. i don't had nothing of this when i defeat mat1000 at rank 54 with his hawk bot, chairman armor and playing with a OP bh build, but i would be ok with the fact that had to try a lot to do this if i get a good amount of credits for this.

you devs care about the reward/effort formula is too insane, that the reward for stay hours fighting against the legendary titan (which is a unfarmable npc) is just 37 credits... (it deserve a facepalm) in game which the equipment, robot, or cosmetic items prices goes from 15k to 250k and the average is 45k. now a similar (not equal) problem is affecting the high rank players and they power is being nerfed instead raise of rewards (which can be others thinks rather than credits, but never exp)

point of this section: rewards/power maybe is the problem

Dfo99, you make it seem like ranks are fair. I'm a level 38. Why do I need to fight rank 58s? They're almost 8 elevels above me, and in all the levels before level 36, it's always a max of a 4 level difference, because that's the limit at which a player can beat another player. And not everyone has time to play 24/7. People need to do IRL "hard work" as well...

this is exactly what i am answering in the reward/power part.

actually, there is no reason for you want fight against a rank 80 player without the underdog buff, and it made my entire thread looks non sense.

however in a extreme hypotetic scenerio where, you get 250.000 credits, and have a significant odd to get a temporally powerful equipament (with more stats than the normal ones or unique OP features) or a powerful core near same price for win a even more powerful as the actually (but still beatable) ranks 80 players? would you really want them removed from epicduel or try a lot defeat them?

here is a scenario where you have a extreme challenge and a extreme reward which maybe can't be implemented in the actuall game state due the players give a lot of credits to alts, inflation or whatever, but it is only for understand purposes, which is: the actual state of legendary ranks is unfair, but not its concept.

you and the others users should post more about increase the rewards for beat high rank players instead try remove them from the game, because remove or nerf legendary ranked players will only made the old problem back: why would make the max level players stay online and playing?

Do you not think it gets old fast for 36s-39s consistently running into 40s in 1v1 and 2v2 is even worse as often you will find yourself with 36-39 partner vs 2 40s?

Fights you stand no chance of winning even in 1v1 underdog doesn't really change anything or balance anything till high rank 40 - And even in that , and even in that instance your relient on 1% crit block /deflect etc chances to balance the fight if these luck factors do not appear atleast 2-3 times the higher rank still holds all the cards?

Are you wanting a pve game from level 36 till atleast level 40 rank 20?

Because that's what we have right now, New players are being told , PVE , Live with being farmed , Or leave the game?

You're happy with this as a signal being sent out?

I have 2 40s a 38 a 36 , a 35, a 32, many in the 20s

And I will be honest this game has always had its problems particularly in the end game , But the game always had a element of fun and at least you knew once you got to the final level apart from build imbalances you had nothing to worry about and the matchmaker, The more you upped the level cap the more the matchmaker got worse struggling to balance fights the worse the game got, People could of lived with this , Because the level had to go up for obvious reasons,, But adding ranks that give a pvp advantage was a fatal mistake and damn did you pick the wrong time to do it.

You destroyed the fun element of the game , And you did it at a time when the server numbers were at there lowest making it impossible to balance matchmaking wise, Scaring away the very players you needed to repair the server numbers and pull more balance to matchmaking. Making it hard for a new player to stay , And un fun for the older players to stay/ play actively.

Grand Masters in chess also have the same amount of pieces, and there's no RNG... So if going first meant that much, that already hurts the stats. However, if someone is really that good, then they should be able to win without ranks... Someone doesn't get good chess pieces if they're better. However, chess lasts longer than an ED match. :)
EDIT: Interesting way of perspective, but I'd have to disagree.
And yes, ranks are dumb, as well as underdog. They should both be removed, but oh well.

Removing the Leveling system all together

This could fix a lot of problems as well as open up an door for ED. Now let me explain this. The levels we have now(1-40) will be removed. With it being removed I want to add a (More you play, better you get system). Meaning the more you play the better you get lol, with this new system I also want to keep legendary ranks involved. So here is my plan and a brief description with a couple of perks.

This new system will give you a choice as a lower player to pvp or npc. NPC battles WILL count towards your actual record until a certain level(will not count towards leaderboards). Having new unexpreinced players jump into battle right away with this new system will give them a high chance to be faced against a former high ranked player with more skill. I don't want that, I want the player to actually get the feel of the game before beginning his journey to higher roads. Once the player has reached a certain level, NPC will not count towards your record anymore and will revert back to the npc system we have now. After the player is no longer able to fight npcs that will effect his w/l record, he/she will be given A starter pack to begin pvp with. This pack will include everything essential needed to winning a pvp battle. Once he/she begins pvping, he/she will be able to unlock ranks(formally legendary ranks. Players with legendary rankings already will have their ranking removed and they will be compensated for it.) With each rank you unlock, shops become available. Of couse these shops will have items that will make you stronger. But within each shop should be a 1v1, 2v2, and jugg section. Each section has weapons that give you stats based on the game mode, each weapon should have their own unique stats. The ranking system should be capped to the point where a former high ranked player is not automatically favored to win over a new player with no skill.

•Faster matchmaking

•Jugg could be more easier considering the skill level of the players. EX: two brand new players could face an experienced jugg

• Easier balance
