I'm done playing this game since balance is so broken my win rate basically increased however for the next generation of kids I will propose this idea once more.

The game is basically a luck factor game and these luck factors are based off of stats. What that means is that two people can have the same exact builds, and the one with underdog will have a higher chance to start first, deflect, block, and crit.

Here's my two suggestions:

1) Dont Nerf it. Instead just change it to affect Primary, Sidearm, Aux, Robot, Defense and Resistance. That eradicates luck factors without nerfing underdog mode, and I'm sure you can find a way to scale it appropriately.


And

2) In its current state UnderDog mode allows your opponent to have 4 passive cores, and nearly 4 plus 6 cores (depending on your rank vs the opponent). Thats a total of 8 passive cores, with an addition of luck factors. What I'm suggesting is making the UnderDog core sellable at vendbot as a Passive Armor core. That too will also be fair without nerfing underdog mode.

I mean seriously, there's absolutely nothing wrong with these two suggestions and the reason they haven't been implemented and wont be implemented is because you guys understand that by implementing option 1 you will force players to become more skill based. If you don't want a skill based game PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN STOP SUGGESTING better alternatives to this broken mode.

You're gonna say underdog mode has made things fair, I know. So if that's the case why not eradicate luck factors by changing it to buff only Primary, Sidearm, Aux, Robot, Defense and Resistance instead of your stats directly? Because by directly buffing stats you're not only increasing luck factors but youre also buffing each and every skill on your skill tree

I guess caster builds get less love from underdog then even though they should if the player is lower-leveled. Stats also scale the effectiveness of skills.

...so I guess the first one is wrong. Also for the second suggestion it isn't a bad idea but the core should be free. There's no reason that a person would have to spend credits for something they honestly deserve which is a fighting chance against someone who is like 3 levels above them.

Luck factors definitely need a change but this is not it. There's a lot of excitement in builds with very high block chance, but the problem with luck factors right now is that they don't happen predictably enough and they are way too impactful when they do happen. What they need to do is massively increase the scaling rate and maximum values of luck factors, but drastically reduce their actual effects when they do happen. Eradicating luck factors is NOT an option because the game is so two-dimensional it can't survive without enough mixup elements. It's like playing a slightly more complicated game of tic tac toe without the luck factors: really lame and dry.

You misunderstand me, don't eliminate luck factors completely. Eliminate the stat boosts underdog grants (which simultaneously increases luck factors even by 1-2%).

Sure, make the core free. I wouldn't mind

I mean both suggestions don't nerf the mode, it just makes it fair to be quite honest.
