Static Grenade takes a lot of energy, it can take over 300 with a focus build.
This skill and Shadown arts are op together: A bh use it, and then use static, the other player cant touch his energy because of shadown arts. In the case of mercenary, this is just enough too lose the game, the bh takes you 300 energy and you have to decide between atacking with a low damage or taking a really low amount of energy.
This skill might take less giving a higher %, so it wont be so strong. I was thinking something like taking 150 and giving 150%.

Ive tried numerous builds against bounty hunters as a mercenary and I just cant touch their energy after they use shadow arts. Im not saying nerf static grenade or shadow arts, but maybe buff static smash.

With that being said, the option you have provided does not sound like a nerf. Instead it sounds like a nerf/buff. Drain less and gain more. I like that idea. Supported

I will admit the skill is very strong, especially with even a bit of support invested in the build because of how strong the support scaling is.

However I cannot support your suggestion because it completely ruins any variety in energy skills. What BH provides in static grenade is removing a ton of energy and gaining a much smaller amount back. Assimilation can't even be compared since it has a damage+rage gain portion to it while draining less, and static smash will be the only other skill that does so. Plus, I think it's really cool that a support-scaling skill can finally have a ton of impact in the game that isn't just raw damage. It's honestly how support as a stat should work.

Static smash its nothing compared with static grenade. It takes 270 and drain 170 to 230, SC takes over 300 and drain over 200. Even static smash it usseful when someone use kartherax's core on you.
And this will take the variety? How many skills drains 150% from the energy taken?

Static smash's effect can be increased by a coordinating skill, BC, while the effect of SG cannot be increased, think about other build originating from the bh, like massacre builds, if you nerf the skill it will get nerfed to such an extent that it will become useless, the dex build wont work too, only works on f5 which doesnt mean it needs to be nerfed, there are ways around that grenade, you can outdamage them, making them heal, use frozen shards, the amount of energy they receive will not be even enough to make plays.

Eh its hard to explain. Try using Static Smash on Shadow Arts. Even with BC youre getting next to nothing. Barely enough for a heal, promise you.

With racings suggestion, massacre might seem possible for bounty hunters
