Hear me out. There should be a buy back shop that will work kind of just like the legendary shops.

The way this would work is that this Varium only shop requires you to have the phase achievement in order to buy a weapon from the specific phase.

Weapons that are not included:

-Founder/Beta Package Weps
-Alpha Package weps
-Gamma Bot
-Omega/Package Weps

Everything else is fair game.

What that makes no sense. It defeats the purpose of items being seasonal rare, ultra rare etc Not supported

This could actually be done thematically and in a pretty fair way through Varium-powered alchemy

I honestly wouldn't mind for a way to reobtain unintentionally lost rares, however if implemented i strongly believe that you should have to pay BOTH a fee of Varium AS WELL as giving up an item (or multiple items if your base item has a low rarity value in its tier) that total to being equal or higher rarity value (Points), with at least one of the items required to be of equal or higher rarity tier as the item you are obtaining to get back.

Example: If you want to transmute an Ultra Rare you sold, you need to use an existing Ultra Rare you own as the transmutation base. If your Ultra Rare isn't worth as much as the one you're trying to get back, you need to supplement it with more rare items to make up for the difference in value. There is then a Varium fee to power the transmutation of your items into the desired item.

However that being said, i don't have any strong feelings either way on this, other than the fact that it should require a large sacrifice of some sort if it does happen to be implemented.

That's my point exactly. Its not as if individuals who have played in that time have to worry about the rarity of their item. Only those with the achievement can acquire those items from that specific phase. A lot of players have mistakenly sold an ultra rare and have nothing to show for it other than their achievement. So why not use this achievement and give it some actual meaning other than rating points.

With this achievement (Beta, Alpha, Gamma, Omega) you will be able to purchase weapons from the phase cheevos that you currently have. I personally don't see anything wrong with it. The only ones who will suffer is Omega individuals who would not really be able to partake in the shop since promos have gone/become seasonal instead of rare.

This isn't a bad idea, but there are some better ways this could work. The Buyback Shop should allow you to buy back items you have obtained through promotional periods or Heromart merchandise and items you obtained on missions since you can't repeat them. So if you sell something like say... the Pumpkleaver... because you don't have enough inventory or bank space to keep it when you want something better, then you could buy it back at a later time. Sellable items that you get to make a quick buck from missions wouldn't be included because, well... they're given as a reward to make a quick buck... If you bought the EpicDuel poster from Heromart and use the code to obtain the Bionic Bear bike on one of your characters and sold it later on, you wouldn't have to buy another poster just to get it back. As for Founders who bought the Founder package and sold the armor, well, you know. Basically, it should require you to have bought a package or Heromart item rather than have a badge from that phase. IIRC, the Rx for Destruction came out in Beta/Gamma. If someone has that phase badge, but never participated in the promotion (didn't use a Scratch-Off Artix Card from CVS), it wouldn't be right to let some random person from that phase who has the badge buy a promotional item that went rare in that phase if they never had it/participated in the event. But I support this.

Been asked for several times, and unless the developers decide to once again break their promise about rares never coming back I honestly don't see this idea getting put into play seeing as I have seen nightwriath sometime ago veto the idea in an older thread.

They've broken several promises sadly, which has really tarnished their word.

and @bling: that's a great point.Im sure they can find a way for players who have purchased that specific hero mart item before

Developers saying something will never happen means nothing.
Every online game i've ever played, including EpicDuel, has done things it would "Never" do.

So, umm, someone who was non-varium during Delta, but has Delta Knight achievement could buy the Delta weapons from this store? Same with Gamma players and Gamma bike? lol...

Yeah i like the concept of this idea however it shouldn't be available due to a person's phase, it should be made that you actually bought the promo or whatever you're wanting to buy back.

I said only to a persons phase because it seems more doable than whether you bought that promo or not before. Like easier to code

Pointing out a flaw and laughing while not providing any constructive feedback is a waste.
Provide a solution or a creative idea if you think it's something you wouldnt mind.
If you disagree, explain why but do not simply mention an issue that is easily solved and use it as a catalyst for condescension. It is not constructive and doesn't even truly tell us which side you're on (although the negative attitude makes me assume you're on the side of no).

@Berserker Killer: It wouldnt be particularly difficult to code, assuming character buy/sell logs are not wiped. The only rares you're getting back are ones you've sold, and all items bought and sold on a character is logged. Whether it is logged permanently, however, i'm not sure.

It would be more of a buy back shop if it was only the rares your brought during that phase. However the way it is written now it sound like more of a "Buy any old rare you want as long as you have the phase cheevo it came from."

However omega baby's would get one thing if they are from omega and that would be the old tanks that went rare.

Your assumption is correct, Xendran.

The record keeping of various things in ED is not the greatest (as we've seen in the past), so they might not be able to do that even if they wanted to.

@Xendran: That would be even better as it would allow people to buy the items they lost and would allow every item to keep its integrity. That would require some way for the system to access your master account and verify you have previously bought the weapon as opposed to the system just verifying that you have the achievement or not. I guess I was being broad because the last thing I wanted to hear was "Flash limitations"

@Mother: The idea could definitely be changed to just buying back the items you have lost. I just don't know how that would work out so I really just tried to simplify it for devs.

@8x: My point exactly. I mean even if they do keep records it sounds as if someone would have to manually check and verify each and every item attempted to be bought before they award it back to the player
