So I noticed that while we're trying to figure why this game is unbalanced, someone can create a level 1 account, go to gifting, get millions of credits and buy OP seasonal gear and dominate leaderboards while getting 74 credits and 24 xp per fight?

I mean we're really wondering why things are unbalanced in the game as we let level 1, 5s, even level 20s wield Azrael/Dread/New Promo Gear?

Well that's part of your problem right there. No level requirements. Can you even imagine how difficult it would be to create a new account and get wrecked by everyone because you weren't around for a single event/period of time where a certain weapon was out??? Meaning you're practically the only one without that weapon getting completely dominated by everyone at your level?

This game is event based rather than skill based. For real though? That's not even fair. Level 5s with azrael gear...This makes me sick. I just recommended this game to my friend who got wrecked because he doesn't have OP gear at level 1, as he shouldn't.

My suggestion? Put a level requirement on your weapons. Derp

To be fair , this is just the nature of being an average MMORPG after all : more time spent means more power , and careful planning of time = greater effect .

Sounds like a good idea .

I mean I guess it's the nature of an average MMORPG but I thought the goal here was to be balanced and fair to everyone after the removal of enhancements? Its like devs are trying to have their cake and eat it too. Like you remove enhancements to remove pay to play, right? Well it seemed like a better idea to pay to play, given that you can pay at anytime, than the current system which is "Play at this certain time/event to enjoy the game". Im not saying bring back enhancements or whatever but either make these weapons permanently available to everyone at every and any time or just put a level requirement on the weapons. I don't see why either option hasn't been done already. Lower than level 20 and using Azraels or Dread Gear? Come on. No wonder why this game is unfair at lower levels. It's not because of underdog mode. It's because this game is event based and given the fact that an entire year is 12 months, if I miss the 2 months that a specific weapon or item was out and decide to make my account then I basically have to suffer the following 10 months? Nonsense.

Supported.
I cant believe that there are alts with the same gear I use. It's annoying to face all time players with the same gear, there is 0 variety in the game. And now it gets worst, low levels are using the same weapons that all levels 40.
And is true what are you saying, a new player has no chance to beat one of them. Focus with IA are really hard for them.

But TBH devs wont make requeriments for weapons. One of the features of omega was that weapons wouldnt have requeriments.
They take it when omega came, I dont think they will make it back. Its like passives, it was a really bad idea, but wont change it back.

Weapons use to have level reqs, unique stats and unique stat requirements. Killing all of those things off, progressed this game into a negative spiral.

Yea I remember the weapon requirements and unique stats. I totally understand the removal of unique stats (not really but ill just go along with it for the sake of this post) but removing level requirements? Lol and if I want to create a new character I basically gotta fight level 5s with yeti fury, blood hawk, and OP bots? Nahh man.

There is a big problem. Probably devs can make level requeriment back to the old weapons. But what about all the stuff made in omega? They will have to check every single weapon made and make a requeriment for them.
Any idea for this?

yeah ! make any weapon with unique op core such as seasonal with reqs not all weapons ! like coreless weapons don't need level reqs

The changing of the weapon system isn't the only reason why the game is in the state that it was after the Omega update.
But it certainly played a role.

Now a days all you have to do is buy a physical/energy version of each wep and you're pretty much set.
Back then due to stat placements, you had to buy different kinds of weps for different kinds of builds.

If you were using strength builds, you needed strength boosting weapons, If you used support builds, you needed weapons with support stats, and so on.
Now you only need 1 for all builds. just switch the stats around.

One of the positives about this change was that you could "level up" your weapon. A feature which was highly asked for since level cap increases.
Back when the lvl cap was at 30 and 31, lvl 30 gear started becoming obsolete when lvl 31 gear came out.
This effect played out for several levels onward.

It had requirements and unique stats, but no real way of progressing your weapons to your level.
So as the level cap increased, you constantly had to buy new gear to keep up.
This new system allows players, Especially old timers, to use old gear at their own level.
So I could now use the Beta gear, or the Frostbane (One of the best looking swords in the game IMO) and have their respective stats at my level, rather than the sword's level.

IIRC, Frostbane was lvl 31, with 31 damage. That sword was completely obsoleted by lvl 35 Azrael's Bane sword which had similar stat placement, a passive, 5 more damage points, and about 8 extra stat points.
Back then, this was a significant difference. This same effect applied to Aux, Armors, and Secondaries.

Overall though, due to the cumulative state of the game, it made this a poor update with poor implementation and the positives didn't outweigh the negatives.

^ You are right.
They allow us to use all stuff, but they didnt realized that it was a really bad change, because now all weapons are the same.
It doesnt matter if you have founder armor or basic armor, both are the same.

Maybe if they wanted to let players use old gears, they should find a better way.
As giving +1 damage and +1 stat per level for example.
A weapon who only has dex and tech stats just was good for focus or dex builds. So if you could upgrade it, you would add 1 stat to dex or tech, not to strength.
And you wouldnt add tech or support to a weapon that gives dex and strength.
That would be a better way to allow players to lvl up their weapons.

Now all weapons are the same. The only thing that make them different are the cores. Thats why all use the weapons with core.
TBH this is one of the reasons of why updates are so boring and equal. They just add weapons without cores. They just add more stuff that nobody will use.
Before omega, all updates were nice, you were always exicted about them. It didnt matter if they only gave us 1 weapon. Because that weapon was different to ALL weapons in game.
I remember the update before infernal war. They just gave us the infernal sword (dont remember the name). It had no cores, but it was nice, because it dealed 36 damage.
1 more than all other swords in game (because it was for levels 36).

It was really nice when they allowed us to reach one lvl more. That meant that new weapons with more stats and damage were coming.
They took that when omega came, and make it worst when they made the legendary mode.

Right now, they cant make something special in the game. Only cores are special. But they make just 2 or 3 promos per year.
Just 3 updates can be "exciting".
But guess what, they will reach a moment where there wont be a chance of making new cores. They wont have any idea about what to make.
If they reach that moment, ED will be completely dead. There wont be more new things to make.

So devs must find a way to make the game exciting again. They have find a way to make updates cool again. A way to make all stuff different between them.
How's possible that everybody has the same gear? It doesnt matter the level or class. All players are using: azrael/frozen gun, dread/frozen aux, the primary can vary but most of times is blood hawk or the frozen one and the armor can vary (till the armor that gives you 500 health becomes credits).

@Racing
When I originally (LONG time ago) made the suggestion of allowing players to "Level up" their weapons with them, it included each weapon's specific stats.

It was to designate a primary, secondary, and tertiary stat within the wep.

So if the weapon was originally level 30 and you increase the level, it would add stats to it in that order.

So a primary wep that had 10 support, 8 tech, 6 dex at level 30
Its primary stat would be support, tech secondary, and dex tertiary.
And whatever amount of stats level increase gave, it would apply it automatically to that primary wep in that order.
So if you got extra stat/s, it would be 11, 8, 6. Then 11, 9, 6. Then 11, 9, 7. Then 12, 9, 7. and so on in that order.

This would have let gear retain their unique stat placement and still allow players to level up their gear.

Yea they will have to check every weapon and make a level requirement for them. Its called being the owner of a game and being responsible. Surely rthey could afford to make that relatively quick change. Might take them about an hour or two to put level requirements on all seasonal gear

@Berserker
You're a little delusional if you think they could do this for every gear in an hour.
It would take weeks to go over all the items and adding their old requirements.

Sorry, once you again you misunderstand what I have written. Just the level requirement, not their old requirements entirely. The old requirements include different stats and level requirements from before lvl 40 was introduced. I recommend they go through each seasonal item in the game that they own, and decide a new level requirement. Apologies for the extreme exaggeration I was mainly inferring that it would be relatively quicker to implement a LEVEL requirement on these items than a complete balance change

@gs1That would be a lot better than allowing players to put the stats as they want. I would really like that dev the actual stats to it. It would be a lot better for the game.
It will take a long time but clearily it will be the best.

Also will be nice if they make level requirement for weapons.
