FYI for anyone interested the steam version does run in Linux under wine.
Im no linux guru so I used playonlinux and used their steam install script, then the directx11, disabled glsl support (3d models wouldnt show, nor text till I disabled it), and seems to run well under ubuntu 15.01 with an nvidia geforce 940m.
So far everything seems to work, menus, character creation, animations, text. I think thats all I did (was messing with getting some other games to run too), I'll try another install later when i have time to make sure.
So now I'm super happy =D A soon to be another great MMO that runs well in linux ^.^
