Repeated and excessive bandaid fixes by staff without design training are the cause of most of epicduels problems.
This goes back to them not having a dedicated designer, any even slightly trained designer knows that they are not supposed to use bandaid fixes in anywhere even remotely close to the capacity that the ED team does.

Not only will a designer allow the combat to be repaired, but it gives titan/rabble/night/char more time to work in their specialized fields that they are skilled in, instead of having to manage the balance.

While that's something that I know a lot of players would find intriguing, ironic, hilarious and probably great, there are numerous reasons that neither me nor AE would be willing to accept an arrangement with the other.

I'm always willing to do community efforts and passion analyses and whatnot, but I would not accept a paid position at Artix Entertainment. One of the reasons is this would most likely require me to move back to the USA, which I refuse to do. If they somehow did decide they wanted to hire me, they would also have to agree to let me work from home. Not gonna happen.
Having me as an unpaid consultant out of pure interest is something I'd consider but they'd still need to have a designer for that to work, and if they have a designer they'd simply consulting with the designer, not me.

That, and I'm already working on two other games. It just wouldn't work out.

EpicDuel and BioBeasts have very little in common except who is working on them. To relate BioBeasts to EpicDuel doesn't really make sense. They are two completely different games.

I still don't get it why they made this biobeasomething instead of a mobile version of Epicduel. You got this game for years, and was popular at least some of that time, and it would be more easy to get players for it rather then new game that about...BUGS.

The problem isn't about getting new players, it's about making sure players stick around.

If they're going to spend a lot of time on ED it's better off investing it in improving the game so people who start playing it want to keep on playing it. A simple mobile port which would already take a lot of time on its own wouldn't resolve the underlying issue.

Biobeasts is like a test run type of thing so that the devs can make sure they know what they're doing for future similar projects. If they were dabbling with mobile stuff for the first time and it was ED, and the project happened to be a big failure because they lacked the practice, then that would have been an even worse outcome.

Guys, Guys STOP and think

300 people are currently logging this game at its peak had about 1500 players logging in that's extremely poor , 300 at best lately it's over, sorry it is.

If they continue down this path , The game dies

If they go into another platform (steam) with little to no investment - the game dies

They are unlikely to do what is needed to be done to save this game which is basically demolishing and rebuilding the game from the ground up this would take a lot of time and cost a lot of money, Epicduel has spent years building a terrible reputation and hem raging players, at their strongest they had a weak base.
Their not going to spend the money and or time this game needs to be saved , And lets face it due to the reputation they've built it wouldn't necessarily save them.

I think their best bet at this point is closure and start over with something new... Or let the game die slowly as it is doing now, You had a mediocre run .... Its over... As with many pvp games of yester year

I would hedge a bet I've spent the most money in this game , Atleast in the top 5 I'm ashamed to admit I'm in for thousands , I stopped oh some time ago , I was always against p2w but a payed to compete, even though I knew how harmful it was to the games success, And chances of growing

I argued for change I was wrong

I admit it atleast some were happy back then , didn't realise how broken the game was I saw potential , atleast then it was a tiny game keeping the paying base happy , No ones happy now just a completely broken game with no potential for anyone,
Atleast with enhancements the seal clubbing experience was appealing to some, it has nothing now.

I still see potential... The game is flawed yea, and it's hard even currently to get a 2v2 match during power hour. But the problems aren't unsolvable. I'm disappointed in the response they've chosen definitely... but the game doesn't really need to be struck down and redone. It just needs some serious upgrading and remodeling.
