Molten's Staff MC covers 15/.85 Def loss, it should take a -12.26% melee penalty for the remaining 7.35 def.

MC is -4.25 BTH, /0.85 because it requires a hit, /0.2 for rate, /0.5 for save. -4.25/0.85/0.2/0.5 = -50 defence, spread over 2 turns.

Oh, derp, /1.4 for affecting the whole field. Okay, it's now 3 turns of -12 BTH (3*12 ~= 50/1.4) ~IMR


Mana Staff/Sceptre should be Magic .75(MC 5% + no proc 9%)*653/1.25 = 54.852 mana if sticking to this design, currently it has the additional /.85 lacks the .75 and has an the balance issue of not being hitsattempt/connect to deal with the /.85.
The fact that it doesn't care for hit connects should make it neither *.85 nor /.85.
Needs to be hitsconnect with the .75 if keeping /.85 or changed to the mentioned amount.

New package item: Under Realm Warhammer. Kam says:

Darkness Hammer, -5 BtH lean, 0.1 Base lean. Click to swap Melee/Ranged/Magic, Melee/Magic are 0 proc, Ranged is 100 proc. 20 proc. MC effect is dealing +(5/0.8*Hits/Attempts)% damage based on % of your attacks that connected from any weapon/spell (only tracks while holding the hammer, up to +6.25% if you land every hit). If there are no Attempts (Due Paralyse or some other stun, or having just equipped the weapon), it's just straight 5% bonus damage.

Shield just got a graphical update to that white centre bit, and the hammer now affects Darkness spells as well. Because of that the boost it gets for the Magic weapon is now <MeleeBoost>/0.75 in power, boost to spells is <MeleeBoost>/2. ~Carandor

MC: Has a chance to grant Celerity to your whole side of the field at the end of your turn. ^What's the MC bonus btw? Is it already bundled into the weapon attack bonus listed above?
Yes. You only pay for +20% Melee boost, but you get +25% Melee effect. ~IMR

Also does the weapon's damage boost effect affect spells? nvm the subs specified weapon damage

Updated Lightning Rod has a different name for each level. Seems to start at 105 so there isnt one for level 85 anymore?

The 105 version is indeed gone. I'm fairly sure I had it on one of my alts; seems like it's been removed altogether instead of upgraded to the 105 version. (Though it could be memory failing me.) okay, nevermind then

Anyway, can confirm that the spells are: 1) Standard 6-hit damage spell, 2) Standard 1-hit spell giving up damage for Paralysis, 3) Efficient (60% cost, 75% damage) 2-hit spell, 4) MP regen.

Magic Energy "staff/tome". Comes with 4 options:
  • Chain Lightning: 6 hits, +5 BTH lean. Costs <MPCost1> MP
  • Shocking Burst: 1 hit, +10 BTH lean. Deals -1/3 damage. Attempts to Paralyse the monster for (1.0025*MobEnergyRes) turns, rounded randomly. The monster can resist with a save (inflict with INT/LUK, resist with END/LUK, +0 bonus). Costs <MPCost1> MP
  • Ball Lightning: 2 hits, +3 BTH lean. Deals -25% damage. Costs <MPCost2> MP
  • Draw Mana: Heal <MPCost2> MP. It has a 10% chance of doing a "Lucky Jolt", which is one Magic Energy hit, 0 Base/Rand damage, and full stat damage but the only damage is from Luck (so LUK*3/8).

    If you don't have enough MP for any of them, then it Draws Mana, as above.

    If spells are disabled, then you do a "wand attack". This is 2 hits, Magic Energy. It does *1.02 of the listed damage.

    The old Lv85 version is now the 105 135 version.

    MC goes into compressing three spells, right? (Sorry, late to the party, been wondering this about all tome weapons for a while now.)

    Also where does the .0025 in the Paralysis spell come from?
    I based the calculations off Static Shock, which had like a 100.84% chance of paralysis, so I figured that if Kam wants that kind of accuracy in his calculations then I'm not going to argue. ~IMR

    Pedant's edit: And by random rounding, I'm assuming you mean stochastic rounding? So ex. 1.3 turns means 30% chance of 2 turns?

    Looking back the Big Dictionary says its like Lightning Rod, and going off of what Andlu asked above, does that mean they both boost spells or neither one does?
