Location: Cold Truth, The First Guardian, Alliance
???: How did you come to be here?
Sceolan: I am Sceolan ... I have remained here for many years, hoping to find Laguzoki. Many times I have ventured southward seeking him.
Sceolan: That is a shame. He would have known what to do. There are those among us who still resist Nivalis even at risk of ourselves and our own.
Sceolan: If you go his way again, let him know we are here awaiting his guidance.
Sceolan: There is a place, north of here, midway up the mountain. Nivalis has ventured there a number of times.
Sceolan: Across a bridge of ice, where the howling wind and falling snow meet the good earth, a shimmering doorway stands...
Sceolan: ... and before it, a creature I have never seen before.
The First Guardian
Sceolan: I will show you the way. There are many dangers for the unwary and you do not know these mountain paths as I do.
Sceolan: Aye. I have accompanied Laguzoki on a pilgrimage to see the creature who stands before that portal.
Sceolan: I have seen him. I have heard him speak. I have not spoken to him, however. That privilege lay with Laguzoki.
Sceolan: I will go no further. It is not a good idea to attract the attention of some things that live on this mountain. Follow the path upwards.
Sceolan: You will find what you seek there.
Sceolan: I say we fight.
Sceolan: Laguzoki, what have we to lose? By not fighting we lose everything.
Sceolan: I for one refuse to lay my weapon down when justice cries out to be heard. It has ever been our way that NONE is above the law.
Sceolan: The law is what it is without favor for one tribe, OR one species above the other. What have we to lose by doing what we KNOW to be just?
Sceolan: What we will gain is infinitely greater. Acceptance. We can find our place among the smaller races.
