PALADIN and NECROMANCER classes were scheduled for a revamp post EoE, with PALADIN being mentioned to get a revamp early 2015, yet its 2017 now. Considering there is very little for end game players to accomplish, can we please have a class update?

Kinda counts : the voltaic guardian dragon form shop was forgotten to be added to the ballyhoo rewards section.

Also a geo guardian dragon form since earth armors with earth-locked skills seems to have been completely ignored for years now while we get fire armors with fire skills every other month.

Only one I remember - King's Reign stats weren't revisited and it remained bottom tier champion package.

@SS: Pally and Necro were LB's projects so they've been put on hold clearly. However, LB did want a longer quest chain to lead up to the class updates and the Pally war at the end of last year hinted at developing that

I guess while we are talking about quests and whatnot, could we get a word from the staff/from Radagast about the Elemental Orbs saga? It came up on the newsletters every now and then but nothing ever happened with it :(

Because of the excessive backlash that followed LB's sacking, the staff (Falerin and Kamui I believe) did assure us that the revamps were still on the cards. Based on my conversation on IRC, I recall Eukara was the writer who was going to design the class at the time, so it's for certain that the classes weren't on hold indefinitely.

However with Fal now afk and Eukara now a retired memeber, I've no idea whether we'll ever get to see either class come out...

Didn't we just have a war with artix returning? That has to count for something given how it ended.

edit: I assume that is what battlesiege15 is referring to, thou it was at the beginning of this year not the end of last.

@IMR:

Please tell me you people are sticking to Paladin being a hybrid class. Also, what classes are planned to be the prerequired classes for the Paladin class? Knight and what else? And what about the Class Levels? Do you plan to go through with the idea of the tier three Classes having twenty of those? Then what will the intended usage Levels be? Is it 70-130 with the Advanced Class Armor being Level 150? Will it have branching paths like Knight? Or maybe some parallel variants like the Shadowslayer vs Darkhunter scenario?

The prereq was originally gonna be Cleric/Healer, but that was dropped. You'll need Knight and maybe Wizard depending on things.

20 class skills. We're currently dartboarding it as 70-120, with 135 and 150 tiers once you beat the "final boss".

Everything else is SPOILERS.

Isn't that kind of uneven? First tier Classes have ten Skills and are meant to be used for a total of thirty Levels, those being 10-40. Second tier Classes have ten Skills and are meant to be used for a total of thirty Levels, those being 40-70. And then third tier Classes with their twenty Skills are meant to be used for a mere total of fifty Levels instead of sixty?

I'm very much in favor of there being Level 135 versions of the Class Armors, though. Thanks for that.

Yeah, Kam pointed that out to me. We're gonna have to split it up as something like:

Class Level 1-10: PowLvl 70-90
Class Level 10-15: PowLvl 90-105
Class Level 15-20: PowLvl 105-120

The thing is, I really want a Level 135 version of the elite armour. Making the base armour from 70-130 cuts it too close, while 70-110 is too far.

I seem to recall, and I may well be incorrect about this, that somebody once mentioned higher levels for the Kindred set, as well as high level versions of the War and Panic armors.

That's all I can think of besides the classes, which are an ongoing project.

Oh man, I was just thinking about Necromancer and how it's so vastly underpowered now-a-days, when back in the day it was THE go-to class armor. Amazing to hear it is being considered for rework! I hope it's soon, Necromancer was the whole reason I went Mage way back in the day.

^I remember when soloing Wolfwing was an actual feat back then. Necro and Heal Extreme Wounds until you brought down Wolfwing's M/R/M to ~-30 and then bashed in an armor for 3 hours. GOOD OLD DAYS

^ That's still how I do it. Once a blue moon when I'm in the mood for it :P Is there any other way, besides that promo fake-seeking-vs-undead armor?

There are a few others but most work the same way, low M/R/M &/or stats then do dmg in some manner. Necro is the easiest core item thou.

ShadowWalker of Time can also deal with WW.

this is of great importance to me aswell, i love using the BOA but it needs some important modifies, i am patient on this matter but I just hope something is done "eventually" however long that takes just know when the day comes i'll be dancing joyfully

Zardade was promised to swap back to normal the omnielemental penalty on STR bonus 40->50 and 1/1.2 sp cost on that part of it which comes from STR.
