Stuff like simple things like "when is the Starsword shop leaving", of which there were many conflicting answers, especially from the devs, where Artix himself claimed it would only be available on the weekend (but still in-game as of Thursday today), Cysero said a few weeks, but with no set ETA.

Or a lot of the other questions that went unanswered. It took Cysero until just a few days ago to realize that "Giant Frogzard Tooth" crafting item listed on one of the Ashfall Pt 1 secret dungeon splash screens was actually misleading and presenting the wrong information.

Just wish they were around more to talk about other things.

They are far more active on their twitter pages plus they are busy people. Probably dont have the time, money, will, resouces, ect., to do that.

Yeah. They should be paying more attention here in the actual forums since this is where all the proper feedback and suggestions come from. I don't know if they are looking at here frequently, but they should.

OF course the company is watching these forums. As of right now, it takes literally 5 minutes to read the 3 or 4 posts that happen in a 24 hour period. Just because they arent responding here doesnt mean they arent reading them. just because they dont implement something doesnt mean they arent listening.

Something the EpicDuel went to great lengths to do was set up people who can post for them on the forums due to the level of security on the AE staff forum accounts and how hard it is to even use them.

It seems like they have done just that for steam so they just need to bring those people over here as well

Unfortunately, due to how fragmented the community is with how many different platforms of communication there are, it is difficult with the limited amount of staff to be able to respond on every platform. For example, Artix and Cysero and many other devs prefer to only do most of their communication via Twitter now (and sometimes Facebook). Now there are the Steam forums, Discord, subreddits and also the G+ communities for those who are on mobile. Even the Design Notes themselves allow for comments and discussion.

I do read these forums regularly, however my wish is that we could ALL find one common place to post / discuss in. Currently, I *personally* believe this should be the Steam forums for now, simply for the fact that the game is on Steam (however we still have the issue of not having a place for strictly mobile players to post).

However, there has been no push towards any consolidated platform for player feedback... but soon we will be moving towards a new method of player SUPPORT, which is exciting :) (which may also allow for discussion and such; it might be a good place!)

I find it odd that the official forums wouldn't be considered to be the main place for feedback.
Social media is problematic for a number of reasons. It's harder to regulate, and also to sort through what is actually posted. Sycophantic behaviour is also more common on social media, which is a definite negative.
Creating a forum account is less intimidating than a social media account, as well. It's much harder to trace people through the forums than through facebook or twitter.

Steam is quite difficult to use, as well (at least, compared to a straightforward webpage). But that may just be me, because I don't use steam often.

The key problem is that all these different media outlets require some kind of investment into them; a facebook account exists for more than just the purpose of giving feedback on a game. Likewise for discord, twitter, steam, etc. That's why the official forums are good; the only investment made into them is discussion of Artix games, with moderators, without any of the distraction or difficulties that can arise from other platforms.

This is why I made a Disqus (no not Discord) account. Although I do check the AQ3D forum more regularly nowadays, it seems the Disqus powered Design Notes comment system has been the largest source of community for the game since day one.

I do agree though, it is a shame the official forums only get so much attention compared to other platforms. That said, I personally am VERY grateful for how active Oishi/Fisn and Undead Lunatics are, and every one of their contributions to this thread (that I've read at least) are very helpful.

I suppose the forums are a bit of a double-edged sword. My personal experience with the community has been immensely positive, and I believe that's partly due to the firm (but very fair) regulations and enforcement of rules that you don't see often enough of on other platforms.
The only disadvantage is that nearly every other platform is newer, and thus, the system that the forums use may look somewhat outdated in comparison.

I'm very much a fan of the different text options the forums has though, and we do things here in general; I regret not joining this community sooner.

@Shiny_Underpants: I'm not saying that I agree with the choices made, only that it's the reality. I agree that this forum is very useful, although if there is not enough support for it then it won't matter much. The truth is that the forums are running on extremely outdated software as well. Over the years, support for it has dwindled; however the moderators and staff who are still around are doing an amazing job! I myself do not use any social media accounts as a staff member, so I very much appreciate the activity that goes on here :)
