I find it odd that the official forums wouldn't be considered to be the main place for feedback. Social media is problematic for a number of reasons. It's harder to regulate, and also to sort through what is actually posted. Sycophantic behaviour is also more common on social media, which is a definite negative. Creating a forum account is less intimidating than a social media account, as well. It's much harder to trace people through the forums than through facebook or twitter. Steam is quite difficult to use, as well (at least, compared to a straightforward webpage). But that may just be me, because I don't use steam often. The key problem is that all these different media outlets require some kind of investment into them; a facebook account exists for more than just the purpose of giving feedback on a game. Likewise for discord, twitter, steam, etc. That's why the official forums are good; the only investment made into them is discussion of Artix games, with moderators, without any of the distraction or difficulties that can arise from other platforms.
