It has been about 4 days now, and our heroes have defeated (at the time I am checking it) 42% of the waves. That is fairly impressive truly, especially at the WPM we are at, but I am afraid it will not be sufficient. We only have about 3 days (as in 72 hours) left than to defeat the remaining 58% of the waves. Given our current rate, the odds of winning the war that quickly are not probable. If everybody here is truly interested in succeeding at the war, then we need to get other people to jump along and otherwise maximize our efficiency, or else we will be unable to win. Remember what happened to Serenity when we lost that Friday the 13th War as you continue.

I don't say this to insult anyone or otherwise nag you all for poor performance, it would be largely hypocritical for me to say that given the meager waves I have defeated, but I am simply trying to make the facts of my claim clear.

Well, one of the main problems is that we haven't unlocked the catapults yet (assuming there are catapults for this war). I have a feeling that once we get those up and running, we'll be able to complete the remaining waves much faster.

Speaking of which, anyone figure out if the dragon mission actually counts as 3 waves? I've just been doing foot waves since if the dragon mission only counts as one wave, it's a lot slower than doing a foot wave.

@requilac I thought that a war this big would last for 2 weeks instead of 1? Besides, the staff hasn't given any deadline yet, right?
Edit: @flamesworth I think that the barrier mini game was bugged as well. It sapped over 400 kills from my wave counter yesterday - all of which seemed to come from the completion of the barrier protection itself. Hopefully that didn't have any effect onto the overall war.
Edit 2: The game just crashed and once I logged in again, my wave count decreased from over 1400 to 1341. Could some staff look into this? If this crash decreased overall war kill, then it might be why the war is progresing slower.
Edit 3: Apparently, you just need to log out/log in again for the above bug to happen. I logged out, logged in and the wave count went from 1403 to 1363.

One of my most productive war yet, mainly due to all enemies being elementals so I can just blow through them with the escelence weps. Will try to go for my first 1k waves. A bit slower war than most but could be worse.

@above there seemed to actually be a bug, as the war meter jumped from 43% to 52% in less than an hour. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Dragon Defense waves not counting properly and then counting properly is probably what happened. I'm surprised that it comprised a whole 500k waves or so, because that means that quest was done 250,000 times.

Can the Empress of the Atealans truly die though, at least in the common sense of the word? Given the details of the song, her apparent powers, and how the other Atealans have spoken of her, she seems honestly much closer to a sort of deity or spiritual being rather than a mortal creature. Given how the Empress has been spoken off, it almost seems as if she is equivalent in power to an Avatar, or at least more transcendant than the vast majority of creatures. Part of me doubts that such a creature could be killed by snow elementals or even the beams from the Giant Couerihem.

The war could only last two weeks, that is true, but I wouldn't rely on it too much. From my anecdotal experience, very few wars ever persist beyond a week. I will not go too in detail about this though, because it has already been discussed fairly thoroughly in this thread and I don't want to repeat what has already been said.

I find it rather interesting that the Rare wave of this war features an "Unbound Mana Elemental". It doesn't quite seem to fit in with the theme of the Ice Element we have been seeing so far, and there isn't much of an explanation for why it is there. I don't have any theories on this just yet, but I think it warrants enough thought to receive attention from the community.

So the creature that came through the portal looks a lot like a certain inn boss. My little theory here is that the Exalted founded the Magestrium to protect the mana core piece and the Shapeless is a warbeast, which is why the magesters can open up portals to the Wastes and unleash a warbeast on Atrea.
