If a merc doesn't want to rely on needing maul, or a tactical doesn't want to do atom smash, I feel like this can be changed and might as well. Strength merc and tactical basically need clubs, and that doesn't have to be the case. They used to be all right with swords, but then it got changed.

I agree with that one especially for the Tactical mercs
Although I would still use Clubs for Mercenary since I need Maul LoL

Also does Atom smasher steal energy? Because if not I think it should deal 100% strike damage and reduce energy

Trust me, tactical does not need a buff.

Atom smash just drains energy and itís fine how it is (it should just cost more energy on 1, because itís 60)

The use of club will lose sense in mercenary.

Maul is important if you go 2nd, the stun chance might be low but if it triggers, it becomes a surekill with Berzerk
I am using it on my Yolo build as level 38, putting every stat on strength and some on dextery to unlock Berzerk max and some on Energy to get 640 energy

The whole point of swords is to give up the use for certain moves in exchange for the extra power where as class weapons are supposed to give full access for less power. Doing this will basically make be an indirect nerf to clubs seeing as it would be once making more moves sword friendly which defeats the purpose even more.

I would agree that having it on all the skills is excessive and unnecessary for a strength merc, but removing it for Double and Berzerker would kind of make it so any other build would only ever use a sword. As for TLM, it wouldn't make too much of a difference with or without the requirement. So, maybe it'd be better if it was only removed for Double and not Berzerker. Or maybe remove it on both but give something like Intimidate the requirement would be interesting when you consider Focus and Support builds.

Not supported. Since the last update, there are merc strengh support in 1vs1 and more in 2vs2. In 2vs2 it is very common to see that kind of build (as well as bm strength) . It is a headache for many players, it would make stronger.
