With the nerf to Poelala is it still better than Lepre-chan for light? Lepre-chan gives +26.67% for light magic weapons and +10% for light spells. If my calculations are right for a lvl 150 0 CHA 250 INT Mage Poelala gives +(12.12 + 12.12 *.75*250/MAX(MIN(MROUND(2 * 150 + 30, 5), 5 * 150, 250), 10) )*4/3/1.01%=28% for magic attacks. So Poelala gives +14% for spells. So is Poelala better?

I think you calculations may be off. I have 250 INT and 100 CHA and my Poelala gives a 11.4% boost to spells. Meanwhile Lepre-chan gives +14% spell boost.

This difference should hold true at 0 CHA as well. I believe that the single element boosters are all better than Poelala for their element.

At a glance it looks like CHA has a larger impact on lepre-chan than Poelala

True but with 0 CHA the pet Poelala is not giving +14% spell boost. More around +10%. So they may be similar there.

At 250 INT 0 CHA, I believe Poelala gives 24% dmg boost for Magic Weapons and 9% boost for spells. So Lepre-chan would be slightly better.

That said, remember you might end up using Poelala with Celtic Wheel, an INT boosting Misc or Arcane Amplification, any of those would make Poelala better.

The Booster pets should have Expected Stat at 250 due to the nerf to scale Mainstat for 75% of the boost and Cha for 25% of the boost occurring with the stat cap raise to 250.
The linked page for Poelala is outdated as Booster pets' boost are applied upon being equipped, no longer need to wait to be applied on the next turn, thus removing the *1.01 compensation.

Poe's boost should be (12+12*.75)(5.25 + 0.5625*153 + 0.00375*153^2)/(5.25 + 0.5625*150 + 0.00375*150^2) = 21.615% melee, *4/3 = 28.82% for magic weapon and *.5 = 10.8075% for spells.

Lepre Chan should be (20+20*0/250)(5.25 + 0.5625*153+ 0.00375*153^2)/(5.25 + 0.5625*150+ 0.00375*150^2) = 20.5857% melee, *4/3 = 27.4477% for magic weapon and *.5 = 10.2929% for spells

The minimum amount of Cha required for Lepre Chan to be equal to Poe at 250 Int is 250(21.615/((5.25 + 0.5625*153+ 0.00375*153^2)/(5.25 + 0.5625*150+ 0.00375*150^2))-20) = 12.4992 Cha.

I have both pets.

According to the tooltip at 250 int, 0 charisma, Leprechan gives 21% damage to weapons and 10% boost to spells. With 4/3 for magic weapons, this becomes 28% to weapons and 10% to spells. Poelala gives 28.8% weapon dmg and 10.8 spell damage.

As such, for 0 CHA characters, Poelala is always better. However, if you have any form of charisma, Lepre-chan is better. Though that being said, Poelala can also keep scaling with int, though more slowly than Leprechan with Charisma. Based on the tool tip, Poelala seems to stop scaling with int after you reach 398 int (tested based on tooltip values by equipping int boost items and Arcane Amplification).I'm not sure if it actually stops scaling or if it's just a tooltip issue. BTW, this also implies that if you are buffed by both Arcane Amplification and Celtic Wheel, Int boosting items like Amulet of Drakonnan are significantly weaker than Blood Contract for increasing your damage, though it does give you some extra bth.

@Lorester Thanks for clarifying with the actual game numbers, it's a bit hard to calculate booster numbers due to the crazy amount of updates they received... >.>

Regarding the 398 INT thing, that's not a bug, it's part of the Poelala nerf. Booster pets will never give more than *1.1 of their total boost anymore, no matter how high your MainStat is.

I believe someone did the math before and the number actually caps at 368 INT, but I don't feel like double checking or doing the math myself... >.>
