Builds now are basically damage builds only, leaving cores such as soul siphon, energy shot, Spirit well, and other things like that out of the mix.

I think the scaling should be increased again so we can have the option of having more defensively based builds as well as still having offensive builds.

The cores we have now have extreme amounts of damage which just overpowers most sources of defensive tactics.

Also, I think the armors (Hybrid, Plasma, Mineral) should go back up to 20% and 30% respectively as well.

I think removing the April's update that implemented further diminishing returns past 100 Dex/Tech should be the best way to handle it rather than increasing scaling for earlier stat points such as before 55 and 85 stat points.

Well yeah, I'd rather have that too. And I've suggested it a lot, and it still hasn't been passed.

The system is fundamentally broken from the ground up since defenses are a diminishing return flat damage reduction. They really need to be a %-based reduction instead.

I've had that same thought MANY times Exploding Penguin.
I've also thought about a mixed system where your primary defenses were %based but you could also have a flat damaged reduction built on top of that.
like if you have 20% damage reduction with 50 flat damage reduction and the opponent hits for 150 damage
it goes (150-50) => 100 - 20%of100 = 80.

A player could choose to increase their flat resistances, or their % resistances.
Increasing flat resistances helps against tanks that deal low damage,
while increasing %based resistances helps again heavy hitters.
