So the question basically lies in the title - which one is better in terms of skill (in this question specifically I'm talking about the Briar Blades) or/and spell accuracy?
Ofc you can have both in active inventory, but I'm trying to figure out which is more effective

86 Dex is 6.45 BtH, per turn and 10.75 blocking, for 3 turns its worth 19.35 BtH and 32.25 blocking, for comparison, convert 32.25 blocking to BtH, which equates to 45.15, the total of both effects is 64.5.

New Year's Surprise is 16 BtH per turn for 5 turns, which is 80 BtH total.

Futhermore Grace costs a standard spell's Mp, which is equal to 125% melee while Surprise costs a standard skill/spell's Sp/Mp of 100% melee, therefore Surprise is better is effectiveness and cost.
