Remember when Book 3 came out? The hype was amazing, now it's almost been 10 years. Would the staff do a 10 year Book 3 Anniversary? Is Book 3 ending soon? Are there any plans for Book 4? It could reinvigorate the fanbase.

Nothing official has been said. Just from an in-game perspective, however, Book 3's main story feels like it's reaching its narrative climax while the more recent side sagas and actual world (towns/walkarounds/etc) still feel fairly skeletal. Book 1 was similar while approaching its finales, though; as it concluded nearly half a year was dedicated to filling out the world and side stories before Book 2 began. With both an estimation as to where we are now and an established precedent, it's probably safe to make plausible speculations.

So if I had to guess I'd say Book 3 is approaching its climax and conclusion, but that doesn't necessarily mean a Book 4 will begin immediately afterward. I don't know anything you don't, though, so my guess is as good as yours.

I think there definitely are plans for a book 4, but its probably going to take place in the same "world" as book 3.

Well if we are to believe the April fools joke title it may be called Equilibrium. but aside from that it does seem that this latest questline with the magistrium and everything could be leading up to the end
