Before you get Champion Sets, it may be a good idea to pick Strawberry Shieldcake and Royal Wedding Cake since the former is the best shield in the game and the latter is one of the best pets in the game. They both require a couple of turns to charge but can provide guaranteed QC celerity and other powerful effects. Royal Wedding Cake was recently updated to charge like Kindred. That said, they are Kindred-like items, so if they do not fit your playstyle, they may not be worth getting for you. There are 7 champion sets, and I'll provide the info subs below for each for your judgment since this is your money. Light Realm: Shield Armor Weapon King's Realm (Energy): Shield Armor Weapon Champion of Sinmaw (Energy/Water): Shield Armor Weapon Champion of Tera'Suul (Ice/Fire): Shield Armor Weapon Champion of Airenal (Wind/Earth) Shield Armor Weapon Neo Weapon Champion of Akriloth (Fire/Ice): Shield Armor Weapon Champion of Custosilva (Earth) Shield Armor Weapon We're getting an energy Bloodzerker soon, so that should be something to note before purchasing a champion set. I think it's safe to say none of the weapons or armors are worth using compared to an equivalent Bloodmage/Bloodzerker item, so the shields should be the ones influencing your choices. Akriloth's shield is one of the best if not the best for fire since it controls on blocking. Sinmaw provides a compression option. None of the other shields provide anything of use, but they do synergize with the other items of the set quite well. Even the better shields have no use in a nuking build. Honestly, as you already know, none of the Champion sets really provide anything useful outside of gimmicks, so just pick the one that's most interesting and aesthetically pleasing to you. For example, many people love Tera'Suul's looks and hate Akriloth's looks, but all of this is subjective.
