Is this Gravelyn's first appearance in AQ? Cause in AQ3D Artix also said they are focusing on Gravelyn this year.

So is this a company wide initiative?

 I'd be a bit more concerned with the people setting the bait than with the bait itself. Who would go that far to promote tourism to that place? Specifically because everyone who spread word of the Cai-Man Islands knew they were dangerous enough to hold off two armies until the Chosen settled things.

Granted, there's the matter that it's not entirely impossible that her father hasn't been seen in twenty years for more reasons than just the grievous damage, multiple betrayals, and blasting off like Team Rocket. Maybe he's been offering some cutting critique about in-world portrayals of his daughter. But that would be too outlandish, wouldn't it? Either way, someone thinks the profit is worth the risk...

Edit: No, there isn't an abrupt narrative focus on that character in AQ.

I'll just be completely materialistic and concern myself more with the tangible quest rewards... Like a Gravelyn guest summon.

I still don't get why people are so infatuated with Gravelyn. The craze with said character in aqw was puzzling then and it's still puzzling now

Is that from another older quest? Or is it new lore about a new location's past? Could anyone confirm?

 That alludes to two prior quests. The Cai-Man Islands were first mentioned in Nightmare Upon Frostvale (Frostval 2018), by the "Ghost of Frostval Present" (Rhubarb), then featured in Reef Financing (Blarney 2019).

 That was a ton of fun. The humor was absolutely on point. I loved the dig at shippers (I'm an admitted rampant shipper myself, so I appreciate the honesty.) and fandoms in general. The ending really caught me off guard, and I had a grin on my face the entire time. I really liked that we got a return of the choices between approaches in boss fights. It was one of my favorite mechanics from the Test of Thunder Frostval quests. I'd been having a bad day, but this has made it a lot better.

The misc is phenomenal. Its synergy with Neko armors is unbelievable. Thanks to the staff for this gift of an item.

 Very tempted to grab the fire Axe, but fire seems to be the element of weapons I have the most. One more can't hurt though right?

i'm really glad i'm getting my character to a point where i can win some challenge fights, such as void bosses and stuff. although i get the feeling the 'show them who's boss' thing probably wasn't all that difficult for most people...

That was a really enjoyable snugglefest quest :) really makes me want to get out of this snow and go to the beach though ^_^

If the misc had been first-turn quickcast (with a corresponding SP cost increase after that?) it'd be usable by my FO build, but even if I don't play it I'm definitely here for more love for the FD crowd :)

I also agree that should be done as I was stun locked to death, and I lost all motivation at being forced to restart it at that point.
