Moglimus Decimus 20K Z-Token Package Bonus

This small but powerful champion of the Light Realm will boost the damage of all your Light attacks!



So looks like Lich form will be for next time. Interesting note at the end of being able to become a Lich “without being bounded by death”. The old Lich form required you to die in battle to access it while having enough turns charged up inside it. Wonder how it will be different this time around.




To fuel some speculation on what skills we get this time around, the old necromancer the 6-10 skills were:

6 - Zombie Hands
7 - Fear (already implemented)
8 - Passive MRM boost
9 - Undead Mutant
10 - Lich form

However the team might be shuffling things around again. We don’t have Death Dog, Necro heal, or skull swarm, and Fear is unlocked earlier than it used to be.

Is there a reason it's only skills 6-9 and not to an even 10 this time?

It’s because Lich form will require its own dedicated release according to the newsletter. I can only assume it’ll be doing that much more than the original form.

Edit: I seem to have missed that there’s also a new 20k z-token set, a light booster Moglin named Moglimus Decimus.

Aww yis, new Necro skills. Looking forward to these.

Wonder how Decimus is going to par with Lepre-Chan, since we do already have him as a light booster - albeit seasonal.

Pretty sure Decimus will follow the same formula for all the other package boosters, i.e., 1/4 cha 1/4 main, while lepre chan is 1/2 cha.

My question is, why light though? we already have lepre chan, why not do an element that doesn't have a booster?

This actually got me thinking of the boosters we have right now:

Fire: Ramssey
Water: None
Wind: None
Ice: Chilly
Earth: Veywild Fawn (Contest Only)
Energy: Mog Lightnaut (Technically supposed to go rare after this month)
Light: Decimus / Lepre-chan
Darkness: Zorbak Mysterious Moglin

The biggest needs being Wind and Water. Decimus at least has an argument that it will be stronger than Leprechan due to it receiving an MC bonus, and being available now versus Lepre-chan which is only available during Blarney or its paintings. In terms of Non-Premiums/Non-Rares the biggest holes right elementally are Water, Light, and Wind. Last year's Dragonlord set did quite a lot for Wind, but it still remains a criminally under-served element. If/when Mog Lightnaut goes rare we'll not have an Energy Booster again unless you count the GGB UR version. (Hollow, please don't!)

I can only assume though that we'll get a guest version of Decimus as well, but I feel the market for that will be small. While terribly flawed and broken, Paladin Manifestation fills what a guest Decimus would do.

Would love to have 8 MC'd booster pets, one for each element! One step closer now.

I thought Lich would be level 20 skill! I wonder if you'll have to be in lich form to use skills 11-20; that'd be cool

Would be amazing, if they release 6 elemental clones of chieftain's ironthorn. We already have light one but it's super rare. Was it from twitch giveaway?

For some reason this happens quite a bit. A release of an item that kind of already exists.... There may be some minor differences, and of course art, but its difficult to put one's finger on the why's.

I think at the end of the day, the player base wants effects they like, but for all elements. If you like Fear, you'd want fear inflicted from something of all elements, for example. This might be fairly impossible, but even if possible, it would just take a long,long time to do that.

I, personally, would love ancient mother's staff for every element....protean pets for every element, a strawberry shieldcake for every element, etc etc etc...But maybe its for the best this doesnt happen. But yeah some things like this makes you scratch your head

A lot of the time it comes down to what I feel inspired to make. Last year during the Paladin overhaul we release the Necromoglin so I decided to make a light pet this year.

Making different elemental versions of items is a win/win as they are typically easier for us to create, and you can get your favorite item in the element you want. Strawberry Shieldcake was one of my favorite shields to make, creating different versions with other berries sounds like a neat idea.


The Moglimus Decimus and Spirit of Knowledge package bonuses are now available! Necromancer is looking like a Saturday release right now but I'll let you know if that changes.

We could even have a fun contest for the names.

Anyways looking forward to the release. Worth noting that after the Lich release we will have to actually train again as old necromancer was set to level 10 max. But hoping that for those of us who kept our levels we should be able to try them out immediately.

I really think it would be fun, neat, and rewarding if there was a week or two where staff released several items...some could be a token package, some could be a GGB, some could just be added to LTS, or other shops, or a new random quest..but where literally everything is based on player suggestions.

And maybe the players who suggested the item that got created, got a reskin or MC version for free for "winning".

IDk, just something different I suppose.

Yeah me too. As a Beastmage, this class might just be perfect for me. And I do wonder how guests will perform after summoning ad then switching to Sol Neko...

Hm, I don't see the skills 6-9 available to use. It still says levels 6-10 coming soon. I did clear my cache, although I haven't reset/retrained and still have my original level 10. Do I need to do that, Mr. Zorbak?

It says I'm completing the quests and that my Class level is going up, but in the skill menu I'm still level 5.

The leveling issues should be fixed, although you'll need to reload the quest to access the new levels. Or not! We're looking into armor level issues.

When I try to use wraithwork as a Necromancer, it takes me to the armor attunement panel for Paladin for some reason. Then when I back out of the submenu, I am on Paladin skills 11-15 for some reason.

It's very nice to get an autohit guest. We've had autohit weapons and spells, but this is the first autohit support we've seen for charisma builds. Is this the dawning of an Era of Werepyre Beastmasters?

Absorb Hexes is pretty great. Not only does it help you get rid of DoT and damage-nerfing effects, it also gives pure beastmasters a new option to waste their turn on. And between Anima Ward, Death's Resilience and whatever the staff think of for the next eleven skills, it makes Necromancer very nice at absorbing damage. Though... Would it be impudent of me to ask for an option to restore mp instead of hp?
