Mogloween Chapter 16: That's THAT!

Hey there, heroes!

This year's Mogloween release is here! If you're caught up with the Mogloween chapters, Chapter 16 is now available!

To give you an idea of what you might... discover, San Robin, the writer for this year's Mogloween event has this to say:

Eerie mists have started rolling in on Lore. The moon is just a bit spookier than usual while the screams of delight and terror fill the night!
Mogloween is here once more!

This year seems to be a quiet one. The batch of candy is ready, deliveries in order and no blood moons, big threats or tree-destroying rockers! But will it remain this quiet for the remainder of the season?

I had a lot of fun writing this quest for all of you and I hope you will enjoy it!

Next week, we're looking into creating a new/updated trick-or-treat system. We're aware that a lot of older years have slow candy increments, or it being the same every year isn't the most exciting. So hopefully we can develop something interseting and refreshing!

Also this week, some bug fixes and updates!

  • Adjusted the notification of obtaining "Indestructable Litter" in the quest "It's a Dirty Job...".
  • Fixed an issue where leveling up (and a few other instances) would not properly update the character interface.
  • Adjusted a line of Amadeus' dialogue in One Step Forward to refelect the shift of The Shears on the Book 3 Timeline.
  • Fixed an issue where Manacrest could activate her burst on other effects other than her Mana Insignia.
  • Fixed an issue where the FaceNommer monster applied a NaN DoT effect.
  • Added a Keyboad Controls guide to the Options screen, thanks to Jay for his forum guide!

    Cute quest! The quest layout made me nostalgic for good old Book 1 Dungeons, and I thought the optional challenge that fills your potions to 5 each is a nice touch and a cool new mechanic.

    Also, the new weapons are BiS LUK and also CC to your base, so worth farming if you have time!

    So somebody got the isekai experience and doesn't get the thrill of it. For those who have certain fears, you might wanna man up for this excursion. Not that I have it. Otherwise, an interesting break for an almost peaceful prepping for trick or treats.

    As for the rewards (got the lvl 90 mace on first run), Guardians and pillow fighters will have to really have to roll the dice for the big damages. Otherwise, yeah, useful for those who need higher LUK stat.

    That one seemed to resolve itself quickly. Almost too quickly if you ask me. Something in the back of my head tells me the next week's gonna have a bit more than just updated festivities...

    YES finally after 3 years we got a new mogloween storyline! I hope for trick or treating they update the enemies list too if they are revamping it

    Been awhile since we've had a new refenced themed holiday event, nice. On that note it's a shame Kosong was missing for so long from Apsaydaaun might have been able to help the residents figure out how to consume fear without needing to eat humans completely before we gave the idea to them though I suppose that probably wouldn't have stopped them completely without having a more easily accessible source of fear anyway so meh

    I like Kosong - But I have a baaaad feeling that he's gonna be done in - Either for the plot, or by Sally grabbing on to him and not letting go of a new toy. XP

    To find someone who was "stranded" on the other side - Its an intriguing idea and after the intro to Apsaydaaun I'm surprised it didnt come up.

    And thank god for a revamp in the halloween candy procurement.
    I'm just hoping that it applies to ALL the batches of Halloween - Because I gave up on mask hunting a good many years ago thanks to the insanely high cost of the masks as the years came. This way I can finally get back to filling more badges in the book of lore (Hopefully)

    When luck is worth as main stat? I mean, I can see myself dumping some points, maybe when I play full-offensive and already maxed Int/Dex...

    And here I thought this was just another parody quest...

    It's actually consistent with Apsaydaaun's role in recent Mogloween events! Well played, Cheese Man.

    I personally don't mind tick-or-treating as it is now but I'm intrigued to see what Verlyrus' plans are for it!

    I liked Kosong in fact i hope more and more horror icon would be used in the future.

    Can't help but think it was too quick of a quest tho like way too quick.
