 Some questions:

1. If we get to the end of the week and the war still isn’t finished does that mean the giftboxes are delayed until we do finish it? Though we probably will finish before then but I guess this question is more hypothetical at this point.

2. Have we determined whether we can get portals from 2014-2016? Needless to say a lot of players are going to want these years, and possibly even years before this.

3. Is this year’s portal going to be available for 1500 or 2500 tokens?

 At 91% I don't think you folks will have a problem finishing your deliveries. The prizes are being finished now so they will be ready later this week! As far as older portal paintings... unless something crazy pops up, they will go back to '14. We never explicitly said the portal paintings would remain rare, but since we never brought them back, it isn't an unfair assumption. So the original paintings will be tag'd as Legendary and copies made available later this week in the LTS. All Frostval Portal Paintings will be 2500 going forward.

I had asked in another thread with no response, though I get it because it would entail some time. I don't expect links, but what are the items in the quest shops for frostval 2014-2020? Well, I see 2014-2016 is in the pedia, so I'll go check that out.

So maybe 17-20.

Also, will updated versions be given for items under L150? I already noticed the top level for the 2014 items seems to be 135. Also, finding mid-defensive armor...ie outdated. I would guess we are seeing some updates with this?

Small Note: The Angelic set goes up to lv 145 G (PowLvl 148). Since the rest of the set is decently tiered already, only the 145G tier would need to be updated.

Which armor are you referring to? Angelic robes has already been updated to the current Spellcaster Lean standard.

 The war is over!

So the Portal isn't in the Delivery War. Not sure if that's a mistake or if that means it'll be with all the other Portals in the LTS.

Boss Spoilers: Ravenous Rat King

Nothing too special here. 100% Resistances across the board. Earth boss that does earth damage, with an Earth Nuke that deals a Disease Status (prevents HP healing). Just make sure to tank up and you'll be fine if you're worried about the Disease status.


Anyways, that ought to conclude 2022. Here's to a next year full of updates and surprises.

 Info for the Armor/Shield:

Fae-Touched Knight's Regalia
Fae-Touched Knightly Ward

Edit: As a small note, a bug has been fixed with the Fae Invocation spell (Healing Mode), it was previously healing for *3 the intended amount.

Edit2: Updated the armor info, I had previously missed something.

Being that this is a set, is there a FSB?

Also, I guess staff has decided the intiative status is a warrior-only feature? Tempest is melee conversion making it essentially a warrior armor for all intents and purposes, except if you are a mage using charisma weapons.

And this having a spell boost based on Strength? -scratches head-

I suppose this is kind for Werepyre hybrids, really. However, the shield and spell from the earlier quest are best for pure warrior.

I was hoping for a guest summons. Ah well 8-)

Frostval delivery sets don't get set bonuses, also the set as a whole is designed for traditional hybrids, i.e., STR/DEX/INT.

I haven't played for months only to come back to dying to the fifth enemy on my way to the boss with no healing in between. Fitting that the enemy is a normal rat too. Its kind of funny.

 So minor update: we planned on adding "Legendary" onto all the original Frostval paintings, but it turns out we don't have the room for it -- on some paintings like "Frostval '14: It's a Wonderful Life of Crime" adding "Legendary" to it would make it too long and the database would go all D:<. Instead, I've tagged them all with [1E] for 1st Edition. Y'know, like YuGiOh cards?

I must say, I rather like the overall tones of the Rat King, I'm always a fan of well-written horror. On a side note, was Cray watching Madoka Magica recently?

On Knight's Regalia... I actually find it overall pretty good for warriors, if not an exact fit for the current meta. Combine the armor skill with the set's weapon, and +20% trigger offsets most of the 30% damage penalty - and the anti-Panic regen allows you to regain most of the sp spent on the skill. Whim&Malice helps maintain Panic, and Initiative Bonus ensures you almost always go first. Mind&Matter is a bit of an outlier, but works well with either mode of Fae Invocation - or any other SPells people might use.

Overall, the armor allows you to easily spam Dealga Ocrach, while slowly nerfing the monster's damage, making it a surprisingly good choice for long battles. The downside, alas, is that it's really hard to use efficiently against monsters with Boss Boost.

Edit: Oh, and the shield fits nicely, too. Warriors are somewhat lacking in good water shields, with the top choices being Spring Dryad Defender (which is both seasonal and better suited for hybrids) and Figurehead (which relies on blocking and a very niche status), so it's always nice to have another option.

The set seems to be be best for those with high Dex and Str. There's a spell boost, but the set itself comes with a Dex spell, which is what it's probably supposed to be used with

 All the Frostval Portal Paintings from 2020-2014 are now in the Limited-Time Shop! The spacing issue is only temporary as there is a massive shop overhaul scheduled for this month. Once the shop update rolls out we will have more space for item names, and the original paintings can be tagged as Legendary. Some other really nice updates for shops will be the ability to preview most equipment (even spells), some of the item's stats, and possibly drag and drop sorting.
