All of the giftboxes, except the Misc, are still opening today after testing is finished! The Misc should open on Sunday.

.*. .*. .*.
Pfft hahaha!

Giftboxes have opened!

I really love this set and I am sure I will keep most of these items in active inventory, just have to figure out what to move into storage.
The pet is super cute! Reminds me of Falkor! (But now I just saw the announcement from Hollow, so I know for sure why the pet looked so familiar)

Great art and job, thank you staff, you have done it again!

Loving the items. The Aesthetic of the armor especially. You can be a really short fat santa or a really tall skinny spooky skeleton.

Other thoughts:

1. The dog's Fear eat is REALLY strong. Might want to check that? Othewise it's pretty amazing with the fact it actually synergizes with itself. It can inflict fear or eat it.
2. The weapons and shield have obvious syngery. You can inflcit fear through the clickable skills which then leads to the pet eating that fear to give you a massive SP heal.
3. The armor is a pretty interesting concept, which is really a 2-in-1 thing. The skinny dude can do a huge nuke with fear stacks, while the short fat santa dude can consume it to give himself a damage boost. My only concerns here is that since these are energy it'll have to compete with Tempest Power Armor, but I think people will find strategies to utilize them to their potentials.
4. Misc still not out at the moment but I'm sure it'll be interesting.

Side note: I donated my 300 billionth gold today. Still more to go though, maybe 340 is where I'll be at the end of all this.

I think the set is decent but has too much of the same thing going on. Might I suggest for the pet that instead of inflicting fear it eats fear for damage? The fear eating for SP healing is nice. We already have all 3 weapons, the spell, the shield, and the pet inflicting fear. We lack a good damaging energy pet.

^We do have the Thunderlord Ravens.

After all these years, we finally have a set that is similar to the Terror set.

The range weapon special does not work.

Loving the giftboxen so much, especially being a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan. The designs are great, and even though I haven't used them yet to their full potential I can see these being a part of my active inventory from now on. Thanks Staff!

This set is fantastic. The most immediate comparison to come to mind is the Terror Set, and that's a very high compliment. The synergy here is immaculate and the amount of damage you could potentially do with it is off the charts. It might even actually be more powerful than Terror overall, which is nuts.

Only downside I can think of is that it doesn't really fit into any of my mains' builds, but that's not really the set's fault.

The pet is probably my favorite part of the set. Thanks staff for these wonderful items!

The pet is nice, and the shield is good. However, the rest of the set is pretty mediocre for me. It simply does too much of the same thing and is very bland.

I'd rather the weapon and spell eat the fear for other fun or quirky effects instead of just inflicting the same basic fear status.

Also, as fear is completely negated by bosses (monsters that we care about the most), I can't really see myself using this set.

Art is 10/10 though.

Really like the art and how the set plays into itself, sadly forgot to get the ranged weapon. Can't wait for the misc.

Only problem I have is this, Thunderlord, and Tempest Power sets fighting each other now. They're pretty good Energy sets and my storages are getting limited.

EDIT: Probably might be seeing things, but it seems like the santa form does the most damage with less accuracy normally?

^That is not surprising.

I am guessing the damage for it is the same as the Tempest Armor locked skill?

Whatever it is, the Santa form hits hard.

The Giftbox items are all pretty good.
So far the pet is my favorite, BUT it is slightly outclassed by Fae's. But still worth having for Fear players. I like using Necromancer most of the time, and since it has some fear built in, this pet is nice. I have been running with Jania's spell for panic recently, so PCO to energy a lot recently so the spell and the pet will synergize well.

I likely won't use the armor much, nor the shield. But they're still good. Prob won't use the weapon much either.

I hope the misc is going to end up the best item. I think they're my favorite items in the game.

Quick suggestion for the future... Maybe beginning next year, just have a single weapon Giftbox shop and just toggle it. And then in the spell shop, put a summons and a call spell with the normal spell.

this set is the best i had ever seen! it is greatest for beastwarrior/pure warrior but not good on mage btw.

this loaded dice as misc....honestly it is nothing benefit for this fear set. i was expect that loaded dice will copy from terror eating (SP attack) but oh well.

I disagree. The misc stat boost and Fear Potence helps greatly with the inflictions. And the Energy boost allows the armor to hit very hard and more accurately.

As for the fear eating damage, isn't that what Spooky Skewer is for?

It was clear from the first teaser (Nightmare Before Christmas theme) that this set would likely revolve around Fear. I dreaded it would be a Darkness armor and be inevitably compared to Terror/Necro. What a positive surprise to see it is Energy! The items themselves have good synergy with each other, even if the application as a whole can be limited if you prefer other Energy items such as Tempest or Dynamancer Bloodmage. I still think it has its own niche as a status-based set with synergy for Terror, Werewolf etc. Should be a nice set for Warriors especially. In terms of art and theme I think it's an absolute win, the items pull off the aesthetic well, and the armor having two forms and a transformation was unexpected! I might not be slotting it in on a daily basis or all that often, but I think it's really cool. The highlights here are probably the pet that can fulfill its own conditions and a non-token Energy imbue in a shield slot (which gives it an incentive compared to Thunder Wave Blade if you'd prefer to save on spell slots.)

Too bad Freedom means this set is completely invalidated for endgame.

Misc is out!

Energy misc that vies +CHA/LUK and -20 potence to fear. Great synergy with the set!

My only comments about this Frostval set are that the armor has bad Darkness resists for a Halloween skeleton and wishing we got a Jack Skellington head when in the armor! The player face looks kinda strange lol
