 I wonder if this will be a one off and non canonical, the energy realm tearing apart somewhat like the wind realm did (Or the opposite of what happened to it) seems interesting with how the other elemental lords haven't been explored yet

 I said before we gonna see more heal resist stuff for a while now LOL.

On a serious note, we don't see many mobs that do self healing. Personally almost never toggle Lust and Envy to this mode. Not sure how I feel about the items.

On a brighter note, happy 21st Anniversary !

Happy Anniversary!

Opulent Opal seems to be bugged - The description says it is supposed to improve Int and Luk, reduce incoming water damage, and improve resistance to disease. However, the effects improve Charisma and Luk, and when equipping the item, the following pop-up message appears: "Enchanted Emerald Equipped. NaN% incoming Earth Damage, and boosted Dex and Luk". Have to say that I love the concept of the item though.

I really love all the Valentis equipment. The weapon with “smart” HP and SP healing is great, and I appreciate the powerful special rate of multiplied healing. Also nice to see more equipment that impairs the monster’s heal res, comes in handy for those rare bossing situations. Plus a shield with pure heal res is something I’ve wanted to see for a while. Finally, this release fills some gaps in energy equipment, which previously lacked weapons and shields in this niche. So overall this is a 10/10 for my main’s tanky playstyle (STR END CHA).

One issue is that the guest seems to be bugged- crashes the game when I try to call it.

Additionally is it possible to see a pop up for the player’s “-” heal res on the shield, and the monster’s “+” heal res for the blade, pet and guest (i.e. in the menu when you hover over the character or monster)? Right now nothing shows up.

Awesome release overall.

With the release of the Opal Golem I've been reminded that Form Shift Immunity exists - I'd like to throw it into a similar discussion as the one regarding Freedom, which is to say I think there should be some way for players to use Form Shift items to interact with bosses rather than being permanently shut down. My proposal would be something like a buffer against statuses that the boss resists, for example a boss with "Form Shift Resistance 3" will only be affected by every 4th successful Form Shift effect which lets players use the effects without being able to just bypass mechanics via high potence. Theoretically the idea could be extended to Freedom as well; a big boss with Freedom 5 can be stunned, but not stunlocked unless you're somehow applying 6 successful stun inflictions every turn.

Aside from my Form Shift woes though, love the release both mechanically and aesthetically; happy to be here for the 21st anniversary, can't wait to see how many more game engines collapse while AQ lives on.

I have been going through the rare monster hunt on the event page since last night and still have not found Valentis, the Storm Squire. I've tried clearing the cache. if there is anything i can do differently anything would be helpful.

This weapon is outstanding. One of the best weapons made in a very very very long time, IMO.

Got the encounter at crossroads>yonder>mountain after other places failed. With it being energy, attacking the Dynami clan in Paxia works too.

 Attacking Dynami seems to be bugged for me. Never manages to save. I don't think it is just Dynami either.

That said, I did run into Uncle Krenos multiple times as I was trying to find it in battle monsters.

In the Paxia clans, once you get to the third battle, flee. It will get stuck if using the normal client.

 Very nice energy items, I really like the HDL esque effects. I'd love to see more challenging versions of these rare monster hunts created (although I'm very glad there's a house guard for this one, maybe they can be added to the other rare monster hunts eventually?). I think a challenge mode with double stats / monster power, a relatively special mechanic copied or adjusted from another boss, could make them more fun, and more interesting as house guards for gauntlets.
Overall though, very excited to use these items, and very pretty release

 About the nick dragon pet, could AQ staff please fix the spelling: Nickleclad Guardian Dragon Jr. should be Nickelclad Guardian Dragon Jr.
Unless it was meant to be that way then please ignore.

 Finally had a chance to use the new items. There are many fun combos I managed to pull off and it's definitely going to be a mainstay for me going forward.

Another fun note: The shield also affects your per-turn SP regen, so you'll end up healing 110 SP/turn instead of your usual 98 at level 150. It's not much but it makes a difference over many turns. Although Sole Shield still has it beat in the per-turn category alone the shield is still amazing because it amplifies ALL sources of healing. I can forsee people performing many extreme combos and interactions with these new items.

I do all the rare monster hunts using Defend Paxia (of whatever element the monster is). The limits the pool of random encounters to just 1 element.

 Jhei very kindly purchased a Valentis house guard, visitable at house ID 1032631

It's quite quick to find and kill it there, and it allows you to open the shop. Much easier than searching in Paxia, Somewhere, or random battles
