While a redundant system to compensate for keyboards without Print Screen buttons, you may not want to dabble with loading other assets more than what is already seen on screen. If we are to reference why EpicDuel, AE's PvP game, couldn't even do a non-patch release recently (And that's just skill icons, mind you. You're asking to load non-skill assets, which will definitely be plenty), you're asking for a long loading if not crashes either isolated to your end or affect other players (In other words, make the game go kaboom. And we're wary enough of that every time Verly touches Book 1 content). At which point you'll just have to either wait for background-less images to be uploaded on the Internet (e.g. certain boss pages in the DF Endgame Wiki) or do good old fashioned photoshop magic with either Word or some dedicated application if you're a(n) (aspiring) digital artist.
