Nowadays, it's possible to finish most monsters (except bosses) off with one or two attacks, especially with the Power Gauntlet + Obsidian Cloak + Oulbara's Knowledge. Pets and summons barely get to do anything and are just rendered impractical, which is why I swapped my CHA for LUK. Sure, one could say that CHA builds tend to do the most damage outputs, but if the monster's HP already hits zero after one or two spells, are pets & summons still feasible? Which leads to the ultimate question, what use is CHA when you don't need pets & summons anymore?

It's the best support stat. Of course it retains relevance. You're thinking too much on its damage addition for followers but probably not enough regarding saves and utility. Most pets/guests help in ways that don't rely on their damage. Resource heals, DoT infliction, buffs/debuffs. The variety provided keeps the appeal high.

0% CHA builds can use pets and summons for utility purposes (poelala, creature 72, etc) without having to rely on CHA. I occasionally use pets or summons for status effects. And I don't really need pets or guests for resource healing when I have KotAoD, Absorb Hexes and Twisted Siphon. As such, CHA seems practical on paper only, not in gameplay. But if I overlooked something, by all means, feel free to correct me.

Without CHA, Pets and standard (i.e. CHA-scaling) Guests lose 50% of their damage and 25% of their accuracy. You also lose up to 20% chance of infliction on their status saves.

Given the extremely wide variety of ways you can use Pets and Guests (which rivals the three main stats), CHA is extremely relevant.

You don't necessarily need pets/guests for status effects. Obsidian Cloak causes several (bleeding, paralyse, fear) and weapons like Eye of the Underworld ensures almost ALL attacks inflict fear or poison, and Frost Warcaster Staff enhances ALL elemental spells with either panic, burning or both. And as I said, even with max CHA, most monsters fall without pets having a chance to cause any damage (based on my playstyle at least). I suppose everyone's playstyle is different. But as of now, I remain unconvinced in the practicality of CHA.

With exception to hybrids where a choice needs to be made due to the 750 total stat points allowed there's just no other option for where to put them. Endurance you really do not need. Charisma is used in effect rolls whether infliction or save.

From my perspective, it sounds like you have already decided that CHA is not relevant to you.

The benefits of CHA are clear. If those benefits do not appeal to you (which is totally fine), I highly doubt that there's anything anyone could say to change your mind.
