Ok, I am going to do all my drawings with pencil+paper and then scan it into the computer as I cannot draw with a mouse and I don't want to buy a tablet pen, but I was wondering - Do you have any tips that you can give me for drawing people in 3D? I am ok at drawing most things but I am terrible at drawing people and I would like to know how I can improve before I enter the webcomic contest (if you can help me, then mine might look pretty good, since I am learning caligraphy to use for the text, and I am not too terrible at drawing)

the best thing to do to draw people well is to observe everything and everyone. if you ever take a bus, sit quietly in a corner and draw everyone as fast as you can, the fast movements will make your brain try to capture the shapes better instead of nitpicking small details

I am finding it hard to make animations i have read a few tutorials but i am still finding it hard. can you help me?

You'll have to be more specific, what type of animations are you trying to do?

 I hope somebody knows this, but I am using Paint Shop Pro X, and I can't seem to get renders into my sigs...Go here for more details...

Moderators,

What are renders and how do i use them i need a bit of advice please.

Renders are images, hand-made or taken from somewhere else. when you see (for example) a sig with a big megaman picture in the middle, that megaman is the render.

I have great art skills yet cant seem to be able to put my flash or art onto the direct internet, also how do i get out of battleon avatars.

to post your art on the internet, first go to an image hosting site (my favorite is www.imageshack.us ) and then use the link you get from it inside image tags [ image ] [ /image ] except without the spaces, that *should* work.

 What does GFX stand for?

What makes it different than normal sig making?

GFX = Graphics. As for difference I dont know, might be referring to making your own brushes and renders for your sigs.

Wow went from 103 posts to 15 Anyway to show total posts done even when some old posts are deleted?
It would be nice to see that you have been active on the message boards!
Now after being active on the boards it looks like I just started! This would be nice if it could be done for everyone!

The number of posts doesn't tell how good and active a member is, only the quality of their posts.

What program does the AQ team uses to make the art ? can you please tell me where i can get it (or another good drawing program for flashes, I'm new in the world of flash and I don't know a good drawing program, heck the only drawing program i know is paint, so please help me) ?

The AQ team uses Flash MX 2004 (or at least, I do..) to get it you'd have to buy it, or download a free trial

Is there a place to post REAL pictures, like landscapes, or is that irrelevant in here?

real pictures fit in the gallery, its photography, and that's a form of art.

i think i missed something cause i got on to check my sig shop and it was gone and im wondering what happened to it and everything else???

You'll have to PM Dadric or an AK of that board, they'll know more than I do. it might have been deleted during the forum cleaning

You should never "illegally" download programs, but there's no point in buying an expensive program if you know you arent going to use it a lot.

Would it be possible to make a separate Sub-Forum for "Buddy Shops"? Or maybe one for Shops/Splicing/etc. There are so many it just drowns out everyone else's galleries...

nope, we had a quick discussion about it and the buddy shops are just a phase, the forums go through one every few months. once it was rpg's another it was poems, now its buddy shops. that's what the hand-drawn and digital subforums are for, to keep the artwork specific and to prevent it from being drowned out.

 I have theese 2 pictures for my sig that are eqivilant to 500x100 pixles. May i use them?

Keep in mind that the images together can not be over 50kb as well. If you are not sure post the images and I will be able to inform you better.

Can someone break down how to make sigs or at least give me a pop-up instruction manual, lol.

Search around the Gallery Q&A, a lot of folks have done step by step info on how to make a sig. If you need anymore help, ask in the Gallery Q&A, lots of folks here to help you out.
