 um... i need help. gimp has 3 windows right? the tool box, the document and the selection window i accedentally X-closed the selection window and i need to know how to get it back.

 file>dialogs>tool options. Then on the box that opens up there will be a tiny button that looks like the "Play" button. Click it to add a tab, you can add as many as you need. Most people only need Layers, paths, channels, & brushes (If you have a lot.)

 Thank u very much. but... y do Gimp Files take so much memory ?10 strokes and its already 1 Mb

 Just save as .jpg and it won'y be anywhere near that much.

 i tried to open the gimp but when it was loading fonts the program is not responding anymore i keep trying the same thing happen i using windows xp

 Crazy: Just search around, dafont.com is good for text (But most people use defaults)

Amo: You may not have enough memory on your computer. Try keeping it down to one window and alternating.

 Hey T@G!

My options for text brushes ect used to be in the main GIMP window, but a while back, I accidentaly clicked something, and for the longest time I had to double-click the tool I wanted to use and it poped up in a different window, how do I fix this?

 Hey to you Morgoth!

I did that too. All you have to do is click on the brush tool and click tool options.
