Omega is the fabled Devourer, when Jaques gains the power of the 3 clans, he will have more power than anything we've ever seen, I.E. the Devourer. Trinity, a group composed of 3 closely related members, Clans anyone? We CANNOT let Jaques get the power of all 3 clans, or the Devourer will have to rear his ugly head.

Omega is never said to be the devourer, it's one of the faceless
Jaques will be strong, but the devourer is a huge "puddle" of mass, appeared as a you hoy first time, he can shapeshift
we have to let him join 3 clans to complete the plot
