I've had a few questions about the meteors.. heres a few steps to clarify the process. The following steps are meant for imediately after the "rock" is finished. 1. After you've got the rock down, I'd begin by drawing a triangular shape starting from the midpoint of the meteor going right, use a 6-10px round low opacity brush for this.. Use your own judgement for the length of the triangle, because the length of the tail should vary with the direction of the meteor. 2. After that I would use the selection of the meteor (Ctrl + click on rock layer) to crop the tail. 3. Then use a 1px low opacity white brush to paint lines in the tail, when it looks decently detailed smudge the lines in with a 4px 25% opacity brush intil you're satisfied. 4. On a new layer paint some black and white 1px lines on the tail. Smudge them in and set this layer to overlay. 5. After that, make a new layer and draw a white 1px line vertically on the midpoint of the rock. Smudge towards the right with a 1px 60 str brush. 6. Finish by smudgeing each layer with a 1px 60-75 str brush to add more detail. Pay special attention to the outer edges of the tail smudge in, not out. That should be it.
