Do you believe global warming is existent?

Er. thats not a matter of theorizing. Global Warming IS existant. The real question is whether or not it is significant. I think we have the capacity to make the earth a much much less pleasant place for us. I also believe that the evidence is strong that given time Earth is self correcting and do not like alarmist rhetoric.

In your opinion, do you believe Britney Spears (among other celebrities) should be locked up somewhere far away, in a dark, scary place for a very long time?

No... they should be ignored. That is the worst punishment of all for that sort and most likely to make them go away

Hey Falerin good morning to you, so here are my questions; -

1.) Are we ever gonna see one of you guys in a cutscene fighting some of the devourer's affiliates like Epheel or Xilar or Nightbane or Epheel etc etc like the mob version of them that would rock??

Let's go entirely with random questions.

1) In some games/fantasy settings, I've noticed an oddity- while some spirit could be, say, 'Jomgz, the Spirit of Volcanos', they would be defined as a spirit, or even demigod instead of a deity. What, in your opinion, should the defining point be?

It is purely a matter of scale. Also declaring things openly as deities tends to be daunting. Some games however fly in the face of that norm

2) Which is the most important part of a chocolate chip cookie (This could be applicable to double, triple, or even dectuple chip cookies), the dough or the chocolate?

3) When reading fiction, I've noticed an odd trend some authors possess- some will religiously note meals, and campsites, and give details thereof. Others, however, will simply note that they stopped to rest for the night, or even skip that bit, ignoring more mundane details. Is it better to focus on the story by ignoring those details to some extent, or to explore them, and thereby expand upon the perceived realism?

Balance is the key. I like works that give depth to mundanity to a degree but there are some authors that are so pedantic in the details that they become mind numbingly dull

4) Do you think the average Chocobo would enjoy Norway or Finland more?

5) Do you prefer epic or satiric fantasy? If you're on the fence, I beg for elaboration.

The persona grew with me directly. Early variants of the Caelestian mythos actually involve an analog of Merlin too

Hmm... This depends on my current mood. Most likely the Thin Mint is my overall favorite cookie but they are available for a limited period and sometimes I do not care for them

A good number but alas some have escaped and still others have been further enslaved as moderators or other staff persons. I often reciprocate by stealing such persons as Staff for Caelestia.net as well

Why did you choose falerin?

The character is loosely originated with a particular version of Arthurian Mythology in which Falerin was a sorcerer who influenced Lady Nimue's betrayal of Merlin. Fred Saberhagen's Novel Thorn relates one version of the Tale while also involving Vlad Dracula

She does respond to Galrick's albeit minorly. The huntress is a fairly aloof person having traveled in the wake of the Network for a Millennium. Largely she does not have time for and may have a hard time relating to such emotions.

A celastian? I know not. A Caelestian is one born on the Prime Material Plane of Caelestia.

1. How does your Wife Feel about you Working on AQ?

My spouse is a staff Legend herself so is largely supportive (Liliana)

2. Does she play any of the Games?

Intermittently

3.Do you think that AQ needs it own version of the Design Notes that DF has?

Eh... the Design Notes are an interesting snapshot and there has been some discussion of a Story Developers Blog or even podcast for AQ but time is limited for us and we tend to be quite busy.

4. Will some of the Staff's family ever get a NPC version of themselves added to the games(Warlic's Daughter)

Potentially, wun-eye's children were implemented.

5. Will we ever visit your Home Planet or find out what Eldron the Good was talking about in GreenGuard Forest?

This is two questions. The first remains to be seen. There are no plans for such but I shall never say never. The second presuposes an answer to an unanswered question. Since I am still not prepared to verify your supposition I can only say Mu.

6.Does the'Galin know of your Presence on Lore and will it affect his actions?

He knows. Anything further would be covered under my NDA

7.Will Other Gods be showing up on Lore?

There are no such plans at the moment per se. I will never say never though.

8.Have you already thought up a storyline for after the Current Saga?

We certainly have ideas

Current world issue which concerns you the most?

Wow this is beyond broad. What defines the boundaries of a world issue. Considering internationalism. I would say equal justice for all.

Would you consider taking up the Debate club Application process or are you just too busy?

I volunteered at one point to do just that. I am deemed too overworked. Not by me but by others. It's probably a fair assessment.

I hope to become a professional tennis player in two years... maybe you might see me on tv someday. Give me an encouraging comment because it is quite a difficult task.

Do you find these forums are too childish for your taste or do you like being around kids?

At times the border on infantile but there is also a rather substantial component of this community that is far more mature then age alone might indicate. I have no problem with being friends with adolescents and I certainly have no problem working with them.

Thanks for having this thread and letting us know you better.

Good luck in future endeavors and i hope you somehow really spice AQ up so many people will have rejuvenated interest in several aspects of the game.

Moods about this shift. Cromartie High ranks high on my anime list, as does the Original Ghost in the shell. I like absolutely everything that Miyazaki has been involved with and think that largely even Disney's dubs of these films for Studio Ghibli are superb

I cannot comment on this but to say that if I think a person deserves AKship, then largely they have a clean record. If therefore they want such a thing, they probably will get it

How did you and Maxwell come up with the idea to use MySpace and other online media as part of the story development for the Truth Saga? Do you think it was more, less, or as effective as you'd hoped it would be?

Maxwell initiated this and I more or less followed suit. Viral ad campaigns have used myspace before and it has become almost common in that environment. I think it has been a rather effective mechanism

How do you feel about the direction the saga has taken in terms of the roleplaying aspect and the development of the Truth Seekers? What would you change or do differently if we were to start over again, if anything?

I am pleased. There have been rough edges certainly but the point of an RPG is not complete direction. This is why AQ alone or any CRPG can never be a true RPG. We are expanding that horizon in exciting ways. I therefore would change nothing

Do you prefer to come up with a detailed backstory for a character before ever writing anything with him in it, or start with a vague sketch of his personality and past, and see where it takes him as you go along?

Hello Falerin :p. Congratulations... (Although you've probably been here, doing the important job that you do, at least 2.5 Times Longer then I've even been here :p. I have to say that in all of these.)

1) What are your opinions on Global Warming?

I think we have the capacity to make the earth a much much less pleasant place for us. I also believe that the evidence is strong that given time Earth is self correcting and do not like alarmist rhetoric. I do believe that if we can be cleaner that we should not refuse to do so for economic gain

2) Is it the same as the Greenhouse effect?

No. The Greenhouse Effect is but one component of Global Warming

3) What are your thoughts on cloning, be it on humans or animals?

Making such acts illegal just encourages them to occur without proper oversight. Such actions are inevitable. Some of the debate from some religious groups is fairly silly. The idea that a clone would lack a soul for instance has absolutely no basis in any kind of scripture at all and is an invention. Unfortunately human cloning has very serious other ethical problems. Among them the fact that the clone's DNA will be effective the age of it's parent at the time of cloning. This has to do with the length of telomeres end caps at the end of our dna that effectively prevent DNA from being destroyed. Evertime a cell divides it's telomere's shorten. Somatic cells therefore used to clone individuals will have quantitatively shorter lives unless some means of reversing this trend exists first. Something discussed at length here. The movie The Island and other things of the sort are interesting additional problems but largely they are far far off as they are not only expensive they are technically far from feasible and morally squelched. If however we drive all cloning underground and science does in fact advance far enough. What then can we say about the prospects. Again far better to guide the process directly then to just render it illegal

4) What is your opinion on Animal Testing?

It ought to be very seriously considered before done. There are times when it is likely needed but animals are not in my opinion disposable either. In addition animals do not make in general good replicas of human beings so tests are of limited use.

5) Do you like Sugar Cookies? ( I think Chocolate Chip is good too, but anything with Sugar in it's name wins me over :p.)

They are okay but hardly my favorite

6) What is your opinion on the future of the world? (In other words: How much longer 'till we kill ourselves?)

This is very difficult to say and omits the possibility that we are destroyed by outside accident. I can see why some consider these the end times but so have people in literally every generation. So all and all I am unconvinced.

7) Do you enjoy the work that you do?

I certainly do

8) Do you have any plans for the future of AQ, after this Saga, or is your mind completely set on this one at the moment? Certainly it will have a storyline right?

Ideas exist but they are exceedingly preliminary

9) Following the storyline is pretty difficult >.>. After it's all done and over with, will we have full understanding of just about all of it? (Were DO I find out about what or where omega is even mentioned anyway!?)

Look in this forum. Look at the Truth Seekers guide and the Truthpedia it is here. The game story will be self contained and sufficient but no you will NOT know all there is just by in game things. That is simply impractical and would deny the depth that ancillary events allow us

10) Who writes Dragonfable's Story?
