Next time use .png.
.jpeg and .jpg are not good for this kind of images.

I'm stuck, 004. I'm using Paint. NET 3.01 and I don't know how to select my character and leave out the background.
I'll show a screeny, then could you help please.

hmmm, ive never use paint.net, but i can only assume its that 4th tool down on the left, looks like a red ball on a stick, point that at the brown stuff and if it selects it all, go then and invert selection (probebly in the images drop down menu)

Is this for MS Paint or Photoshop? Or for something else? I like it, it will help me out with the contest.

Good tut, but only on the background thing.isnt it easier to go to the area you need, then walk to the right and take a screen, then you walk to the left and take on again, you chop both pictures half and paste them again.?

Hehe, a mac user. A man after my own heart. Which model may I ask?

And this is proper DF editing. Not some of that stuff some people come out with (Edited screenshot = Screenshot with a speechbubble). Some effort actually has to go in :)

Niceness, and gratz on ak

I'm sorry, but that's wrong. If you're using Photoshop, or GIMP methinks, you can save a .jpg at the maximum quality, and it looks just like a .png
And is dial-up friendly.

Glad tos ee this on the top again 004 <3
