Yes there was. A team of spiderman villians. The Devourer kind of reminded me of Galactus (Fan 4).

a wolverine IS a real animal, but by taking the color of the x-men wolverine, and changing the shape a little, it is an obvious marvel reference

No he is correct asgard is the land (and the capital) of the norse gods.
Valhallan is the hall where odin (maingod in northern mythology) lives and all the northern heroes who proved themselfes to him are granted afterlife, to build an army until ragnarok comes. There they have to aid the gods in the final battle.
