    Your rod senses that spellcraft is disabled, so it unleashes a weak jolt of energy!

    DESCRIPTION
    Rayf was given the original Lightning Rod as a gift from the Energy Lord; this is a copy. Still, it possesses incredible power - you can channel mana through it to cast a variety of Energy spells!

  • Chain Lightning takes +5 BTH, but deals 85/90 damage. With 6 equally powerful hits, each hit deals 1/6 damage.
  • Shocking Burst takes +10 BTH, but deals 85/95 damage. Takes a -1/3 damage penalty to pay for the Paralysis effect.
  • Ball Lightning takes +3 BTH, but deals 85/88 damage. Costs 60% MP, but takes a -25% damage penalty. With 2 equally powerful hits, each hit deals 1/2 damage.

    Wand attack starts out with:

  • Deals *1.02 damage for having no real special. With 2 equally powerful hits, each hit deals 1/2 damage.

    EFFECT:
  • Spell damage of the Energy element is boosted to 110% Base, 110% Random, and 110% stat damage (+10%/+10%/+10%)
  • Spell damage of all other elements is boosted to 105% Base, 105% Random, and 105% stat damage (+5%/+5%/+5%)
  • NOTE: if using Divine Magic, these boosts are not applied.

    SPECIAL
    Rate: 100%
    If MP is less than 80, you heal 17 MP. Otherwise, you select one of the following. All three Specials are treated as spells:
      OPTION 1: Chain Lightning
      Casts MegaShock
      MP Cost: 160 (Guardian), or 175 (Adventurer)

      OPTION 2: Shocking Burst
      MP Cost: 75
      Hits: 1
      Element: Energy
      Attack Type: Magic
      Damage: 200% Base and Random, 100% Stat
      BTH: +35%
      Special: A 35% chance of paralyzing the monster on successful hit

      OPTION 3: Ball Lightning
      MP Cost: 80
      Hits: 2
      Element: Energy
      Attack Type: Magic
      Damage: 250% Base, 225% Random, 100% Stat each
      BTH: +10% each
    DESCRIPTION
    Although this Lighting Rod is but a shadow of the original it is a still a potent focus for magical energy, its amber gem storing energy essence that enhances magical ability, enhancing all spells and greatly enhancing spells of the energy element.
