ok i have a question and i dont' have much time to look through every singly post in this thread and if this quesiton ahs be answered plz don't get mad

ok my question is, how do i use fonts i downloaded from the internet? i am going to use a post i saw about brushes to help so i will edit if i find out how and save you the trouble but i just wanted to put this out there

when you download the font, simply copy the file and paste it in
C:/WINDOWS/Fonts
instead of simply pasting it, you will get a quick pop-up saying "installing font"
and your are all set to use it :D

How do you tint an entire thing a color, like.. I want to make a signature parchment color. What do I do?

Hmmm... I think you're talking about Gradient Maps.

In Photoshop, go to File --> New Adjustment Layer --> Gradient Map. It should open a box. Click ok in this box, and it should go on to open a different looking one. Make sure "Preview" is checked so that you can see what the signature will look like before you apply the Gradient Map. If you hit the arrow next to the gradient shown in the rectangular box, there will be some presets which you can choose out of. If you find one with the colours you want, then just select it and click ok.

If the presets aren't the right colour, then you will have to make your own Gradient Map.

Click the Gradient in the box to open the Gradient Editor.
See the rectangular box with a gradient in it underneath the "Name", "Gradient Type" and "Smoothness"? Well... That's your Gradient. To edit the colours, double click the little arrow things on the underside of the box. You can click to add more points, or 'stops' for colours along the gradient.

Once you've done that, decide if its a gradient worth keeping. if you like it, click the New button, and it'll save it in your presets. Then click ok and ok again to apply your gradient.

I hope that was what you were looking for.

There should be a little window that has a color palette on it.

If not, go to Window > Color. Then just choose a color.

Or on the tool bar, you will see two squares. Click the closest square and a color pallete should come up.

ok thnks next question how do you resize renders that are to big i know how in el gimp but PS is different

Mmkay, once you paste the render, press Ctrl+T, and that should do it.

If you want resize the image that you have, go to Image>Size and put in the dimensions and then you can cut and paste the image to where you want it

use the eraser tool silly! right click on the icon of the eraser you have now and move up to "eraser"

ok i want to make a new layer and select it hoew do i do that?

how do you get brushes you download to PS itself?

your canvas is set to grayscale.

Your best bet would be flash, simply because you cannot animate or draw as easily if you had flash.
