Reatraining can be extremely expansive these days especially with the extra costs.


The problem with retrain is it doesnt give players the chance to tinker their build to perfection without having to spend a bucketload.

So I prupose this.

What if the retrain cost was determined by how many battles you have done with that build configuration.

For example, a player changes their build but does not enter any battles. they can re train for FREE or a VERY LOW cost as many times as they wont providing they dont enter a battle.

As soon as the finish a battle regardless if the won or not it adds say 50 credits to the retrain price and so on until the retrain cost is evetually 680 credits (max level) or watever the normal cost is now where it stays at this cost and can not go higher.


So for the average lvl 34 player would have to do 13 battles (providing it was an extra 50 credits per battle if 13 battles is too little then the credit price could be smaller say 25 credits) before they reach the maximum agian of 680 credits.

This means if you make a mistake , or perhaps cant find the right build, it wont cost you very much until you are happy with your configuration and buy then you would have done alot of battles.

This would also help lower levels out alot as many lower levels have burned all the credit for new gear on retarins.


What do you guys think?

Do you think retrains prices are too high and somthing needs to be done about it?

or do you like it how it is?

I personally think they are a little high, I would be more comfortable with them being back at 500 credits.

I agree this would be a cool idea, but I doubt it will be implemented. I think this just because Hudelf just did a massive overhaul on the retrain system and I don't think it will be visited again for quite some times.

I'd say to stay as they are - one reason for that:
Devs are planning to change rewards, so they scale as you Lvl up so at higher Lvl - you will earn more Credits and Experience so you can actually buy the equipment at your Lvl and not save for X Lvls for one item. They are already working on it, and I think it might be changed before they raise the cap - it would be best choice really. :)

But it dosnt have to be implemneted straight away, it just a posible solution they could think about implementing.

It's scaled. 500 Credits at Lvl 10-20 is harder to get without even proper equipment so it's cheaper at lower Lvls. It costs 500 Credits at L25 and then it gets a bit more expensive than before. But it's just up to 180 Credits which isn't much. 5-6 fights isn't that hard, and people usually have more Credits than they need unless they do change builds a lot.

I agree the price to retrain is a bit steep especially if you maybe only make a minor change.

However I doubt any changes could be made other than changing the price per level which would be nice overall. Better credit earning at high levels would a small solution as well for this as well as other credit related issues at high levels.

I personally wish they kept it at 500. But this idea seems good to me.

You can always simulate all the changes in an excell spreadshit and see if you like it. It is the same as retraining and not fighting.
No cost and no waiting. ;)

I think the price is fine in comparison to other in game items (war kills, enhancements, class change, ect..)

At the current cost of 50,000 credits to change class, that amount of credits could get you around 78 retrains at level 34.

Enhancements can get even more spendy, and depending how far you want to go with war kills they can be the most expensive.


The problem I find is that credits are just to hard to come by. Missions were a great way to help fix that problem, but untill many more come out or daily missions come out, credits take a long time to obtain. Ive heard a possible rumer that there will be a level reward scaling, but this is just a rumer as far as I know.

Retraining mode shouldn't cost credits, it doesn't give advantages to none in all the ways. All players would benefit from this, when saving for credits for a new weapon and the retrain costs larges the wait for it. I have spend thousands of credits during my time in this game and I know it is a lot of credits, and I don't which that the current players spend the credits I have spend since I know the amount is really high and it will help them in the future.

I don't see flaws in it except that it is gained by no effort but that is how it should be, especially for nonvariums. They can compete thanks to credits.

Why not make it like 20 credits per level and maximum of 500 credits and will not go any higher till further notice

I think it should stay the same as it is, but with the stat points having a +5 and +10 option instead of just +1, and perhaps a +2 and +5 option for skill. For the laggier people (myself included), this would be a great addition to the game and save a lot of time!

From what i understand there is a formalin for how retraining works.

But really the top end of the formula should have been 500 with it getting cheaper as it goes down because at the low levels 500 is alot but at the high level we have to tweak our builds so much that almost 700 for a minor tweak is killing us.

How about the ability to go into your inventory through the build page ? I mean , i have to retrain TWICE just to wield a better weapon that some of it's requirements didn't meet with my base stats . Here's an example :

I wanted to use Sharktooth Blades , but i have a base SUPP of 30 , and it requires 34 SUPP , so if i changed my stats a bit , then if i go to inventory , then that's the time i'm able to use it .

What's the point of this? Well this idea of mine is to prevent double retraining .

Also, like that ^ idea, we should be able to enchance weapons there too. It would save me time. Also this would prevent double retraining.

well u can do that (complicated)
or have it be done 10 credits per lvl.

so lvl 34 = 340 credits for a retrain.
this also lets lower lvls get a better amount of retrains and experimenting with builds when their's still fairly new at the game.

but if it was ur way, i would like for a way to change weapon enhancements during a retrain. and change/equip weapons during retrain.

Lol, I like how it is, it encourages me to stick with a build for a certain time before giving it up, I sometimes only do a few battles and I retrain again, then realise there were a few strategies from the previous build I didn't utilise but it was all too late then. But right now, credits are on the end of the line for me, i've earned tonnes of money from farming in Frysteland :D

I think think retraining should cost the current level you are on multiplied times 10.(Example: Level 25 x 10 = 250 Credits for Retraining) This is a reasonable cost for retraining an that will make it very simple.Therefore low levels that may have no experience whatsoever can change their stats and skill tree at a low cost that will provide them with more flexibility and enjoyment through their lower levels. (At level 34 retraining would cost 340 credits half what it cost now) At the moment retraining is 20 times your current level.
Also there should be a way to save a skill tree while you are on a current level so you can return to it if you dont like the one you have just made.
(Making retraining less time consuming)
Also there should be a way to change Weapon Enhancements while a player is retraining. (Also less time consuming)

JohnMenzies has a simple, good idea that isn't so hard to program. It's more fair in cost and would lighten the burden of build changing.

I have always liked the idea of a pass you buy. For 500 Credits you get a 30 minute pass to retrain. It will work just like any other booster like battle token boost or exp boost. Then after the 30 minutes has expired you have to buy it again. This allows you to make small changes and test the build for 30 minutes.
