Ultrapowerpie -> The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/21/2009 19:28:41)

That's right folks! It's so popular, it's on a second comments thread! (No, srsly, that's obviously it. There's no other explinations, anyone who tries to dispute that claim will be mobbed)

A bit of history:

This is an extremely important piece of work to the moogle, as it documents many things. The first thing it documents is my days as an RPer for a Legend of Zelda Guild where there were zany times that taught me much about the internet before coming to the AE forums. Those were grand RPing times, and as a tribute to their zaniness, the story's main concept of "Reapers", the elements and many more are based on the system I invented for said RPs.

Another important thing this story includes is my own personal imaginings of how the fictional omniverse works. While it's not currently at that state, eventually you will see a grand vision of the entire fictional omniverse that will mostly confuse you and cause you to go "woah, this dude has way too much free time on his hands"

Now, if you don't care about this bit of history, this epic tale is set in a medieval planet in the bowels of the Fictional Omniverse that at the same time has access to advanced magitech that would make most sci-fi jealous, especially since it borrows some from famous sci-fi with appropriate credit given.

It is mostly a comedic tale, for the purspoe to entertain. Yes, there is some "philosophy", but it is applied strictly to the fictional omniverse and not into real life whatsoever. There will be periods of rather long exposition that you may find boring, but it is necessary for teh story to flow later on. There is so much in this story that the only people who wouldn't like it are those "literary analysits" who decide to analyze stories to death for their "metaphorical meaning" rather then just enjoy the bloody story. The story is a project for myself, but I also hope that the readers enjoy it and provide feedback to the story.

And pleae, if you have any questions, just ask Grim here, he'll be more then happy to answer them.

For those curious why the story is called what it is, I have a vauge plan to actually write more zany adventures of the Reapers on different worlds and whatnot... but that's a long way off since this story is supposed to go to 100 chapters or something XD

deathwalker05 -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/21/2009 19:51:23)

Congratz on second comment thread, now you have even higher expectations to write a chapter XD

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/21/2009 20:01:35)

It's coming... It's a big chapter, very big.

Also, no one has answered my previous contest. I am utterly disapointed that no one could answer these simple questions. For shame, for shame :P

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/22/2009 4:38:42)

Pie, is it concluding the actually months of the forum? Because then we can calculate more accurately.

megakyle777 -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/22/2009 7:06:20)

If there is gonna be something like 100 chapters, have you ever thought of making a book out of this? More people would read it then, you get money, and I know I would try and buy it. If it came out in the UK.

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/22/2009 10:52:17)

No no no, the in-game story's timeline has absolutely nothing to do with RL. Every chapter has some metnion to how many days have passed, usually in the beginning of each chapter, but later on time passes in the middle of chapters.

As for publishing, I have honestly considered it, but I have absolutely no idea of the publishing process except it's a giant pain. One giant flaw I see in gettitng this into a book is all my references to stuff from Star Wars, Final Fantasy and whatnot that may get into copyright territory if I was making a profit off the book >.>

megakyle777 -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/22/2009 11:31:16)

Well, you could find out how it's done. Ask people. Use the internet. that kind of thing. I recon this is an interesting story and could really find a place in the book world.

And as for the copyright stuff, you or the publishers could always get in touch with them and ask if it's ok. If not, then you could remove them, although that would be annoying and take a long time. Understanderbly, it's probably a lot more complicated then that, but hey, what have you got to lose?

Just be warned, some people can be VERY crictical. Just keep on trying.

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/24/2009 12:54:39)

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/25/2009 18:26:13)

deathwalker05 -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/25/2009 21:02:32)

Aww, you didn't have to bring EVERYTHING from the old thread...delays could have stayed [:@]

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/26/2009 7:58:11)

Erm... If you cant put it up that day, why next Sunday untill its up? It doesn't explain to me.

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/26/2009 9:31:43)

Randomnity -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/26/2009 14:55:45)

Dare you argue with the moogle with the pom-pom of death!? The audacity!!

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/27/2009 11:55:25)

@Above: It's the Pom-Pom of Doom... Not Death.

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/31/2009 17:52:48)

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
Happy Halloween everyone! Here's my treat for y'all: the next chapter is up!

And as a trick, the next chapter will have almost nothing to do with the main storyline

I take it you have shenanigans and marlarky planned Grim?

Oh yes, it's time to advance other areas of this little story... MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh the zany antics that will ensue :o

deathwalker05 -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/31/2009 19:07:06)

I think this chapter deserves a DUN DUN DUN!!!!!

Snake XZ -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/31/2009 19:37:28)

Hiya! I've been reading the story for quite some time, but never got arounding to commenting. Anyways, I love the story. I feel like I've almost busted a gut 5 times laughing, been so entranced I read the story over for 3 hours, and have enjoyed the wild antics of reaver gettign mauled by Jenna, Jenkins, Necro, And anybody you can think of. Oh and tell me, is the next chapter going to focus on Jenna and Necro's relationship? Oh and the most recent chapter was great, but one thing, will Necro get some EXp from this fight with the General? OH and will Necro ever make more sentinels? I mean if he made like 5 more, it would help a lot wouldn't it?

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (10/31/2009 19:46:12)

Silence Snake, no guessing at what the next chapter will entail!!!

Yes, they'll finally level up to level 30. As for more Sentinels... we'll see :3

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/1/2009 8:00:26)

E-p-i-c Story

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/1/2009 9:51:23)

Really, y'all liked it? I'm hoping I didn't rush the ending of the chapter. I always get these grand ideas, but laziness and tired hands always has me shortening the end fight scenes... maybe I need to put them at the begining of chapters or something...

Anyways, the next chapter will bring giggles. I've been planning it for a while. I won't guarentee when it will be up though, I have 2 tests next week that needs studying.

Snake XZ -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/1/2009 10:45:53)

Yeah, the fight scenes fo end up being slightly shorter than expected, but overall, they do seem pretty good. I just can't imagine them very well. But, on the timing of the next chapter, I advise you let it wait, cause studying two tests are more important than one chapter. And Grim, You can't tell me what to do! You're from the bloody fictional omniverse! I'm real! IF only I could play grimball.....

BadHulk -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/2/2009 7:39:05)

@Snake: Burry up a skeleton(Which is illeagle btw(Sp?)) and kick with its head o.O Dats Grimball... Ah well >.>

Pie, you DID rush the fighting scene but it's intresting how Necro went through that transformation: Epic. Wish I could do that.

Gianna Glow -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/2/2009 11:40:03)

Wow... that was awesome Moogle. I do have to say... Your favorite style of writing seems to be Deus Ex Machina, which when used way too often can be hilarious! Continue on, I cant wait to see what happens next!

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Reaper's Records: Chronicles of Tipa Comments II (11/2/2009 17:52:51)

Awwwwwwwwww, so glad y'all liked it. This next chapter will be much funnier... and I may throw in a longer training fight scene for giggles, depends on my mood >.>
