If you were Arcadia, what would you do?

God Mari0 -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/17/2011 23:27:09)

i would train other hero's in special powers that are very powerful!

ND Mallet -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/17/2011 23:42:04)

Personally, I would spend an entire comic explaining how I came to be a hero and explain the whole 4th wall breaking power and how I got it. This would be taking place while I'm chasing after the villain via my thoughts breaking the 4th wall. Then when the back story is finished, I would take care of that villain while turning the whole fight into a tutorial for the new hero in training. "This is a villain." *dodges laser eyes* "Those are laser eyes. Don't get hit by them. Now throw some punches, exchange witty banter, dodge some more attacks and finish it. Pretty simple being a hero actually. Toughest part is learning your powers. Oh! And definitely making good witty banter."

And also, make him stick with his trainees until they perform a major service of justice like stopping deadly criminals endangering lives. Don't just have him ditch them after they learn their powers and can fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

Gargir -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/22/2011 8:37:24)

I would escape the comic, take the readers with me back inside and help them become super-heroes! [:D]

UnityDestroyer -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/22/2011 8:40:52)

If I were Arcadia,
-I will change my name to Arcadeo.
-I will change my hair to a shorter one.
-I'll get a cape and put it on.
-And most of all SMASH All ways!

ED War Clown -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/22/2011 9:01:26)

If i was Arcadia i would.
-Become a Hero and Smash.
-Look more stylish..
-Have a sense of humor :))
-At once. The comic will explode.. and i will become real!

Foxheart -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/23/2011 3:45:03)

hold on.. who is arcadia?

UnityDestroyer -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/23/2011 3:53:59)

Everyone knows Arcadia.
Check this page.

Foxheart -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/27/2011 20:43:26)

is he going to be a new NPC? if he / she is, he should be a new mentor like Llussion, maybe change his constume make him look more like a mage, wizard, sorcerer supreme etc.

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/27/2011 20:53:52)

If I were Arcadia:

I would firstly explain to the players about the fourth wall. (my theory is that this fourth wall is similar to a fourth dimensional plane, so like we have 2-d, 3-d, the fourth dimension is specific, but at this current moment I forget the exact word to describe what it is)

Next I would introduce the players to new super heros and make recommendations on what that hero should focus their talents on.

Thirdly, I would get some kind of helm to cover my long hair, reason why is because if some super villain is in a battle one of 3 things can happen, arcadia's hair could get caught in an evil machine, The villain could perform a super yank which would really hurt, or the long hair could catch on fire, so I'd keep my hair safe.

mturf -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/28/2011 7:22:24)

hehehe, i like the posts so far.

to give you more insight into the character (i think i mentioned in another thread), i originally designed him as someone to help a player in some sort of tutorial for herosmash, teaching the hero/villain how to use powers and talking directly to the player telling them what to click. i developed his story a little and he quickly became one of my favorites. i still haven't fully developed his origin, so things posted here are likely to shape it :P

Clown the Jester -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/28/2011 14:09:51)

To mturf, I like how you are sharing this with us.

I know your comic has just started but one thing you really need to make sure you have thought out besides your hero...is your villain.

An villain is absolutely necessary for a superhero to be epic.
Your villain needs to reflect everything your hero stands against.
They show the dark side of people.

The Villain needs just as much thought if not more in order for it to be a villain who people will remember.

Here are some villain stereotypical that might be helpful.

1. Mastermind: has a plan for everything, always calculating the hero's moves always a step ahead. Everything delibrate, everything well thought-out, rarely surprised. Has brains.

2. Ancient Evil....some long forgot foe...for example...The Foe of HeroSmash, that has returned and is unstoppable.

3. Psychopath Lunatic Villain: My personal favorite that my character follows. Motive...none. Plans...none. Perfers a thosand screams over a thosand dollars. Enjoys The Game the hero and the villain share because of the madness it causes. A good example of this is in Gray Silhouette and My story Comedy and Tragedy with out interpretation of Clown the Jester.

4. Avenger. This guy feels ya did him or her wrong and is willing to kill an entire city to get even. Hate is all this person has left and is absolutly ruthless.

Hope this helped.

mturf -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 11:13:18)

i think more about my villains than i do my heroes :P
they usually need more of a reason behind why they're villains, so i try to give them all a back story as soon as a start drawing them ^-^

zanathos -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 12:24:07)

I like it, reminds me a lot of Deadpool. I think since Arcadia knows he's in a video game/ webcomic, he should reference that a lot with the other characters, but only vaguely, as to confuse the characters, but humor the readers.

Shadowlord9k -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 12:53:06)

Something like:
"How did you find me so easily?"
"The name floating above your head kinda helps"

Arachnid -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 13:08:36)

@Shadow
XD
That would be hilarious!

~Lady Zafara

Shadowlord9k -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 13:14:19)

Arachnid: Agreed

"These NPCs don't really get it?"

Clown the Jester -> RE: =HS= Webcomic Character Bio: Arcadia (7/29/2011 13:27:10)

I know exactly what you mean Mturf. I always found the villains more interesting than the heros. They are like Rorschach cards that the reader sees their dark qualities in.
