Power Weekend!
[image]http://www.epicduel.com/images/cms/power_weekend_full_dns.jpg[/image]
Since this weekend is a holiday weekend for many of our players in the USA, it's time for another EpicDuel Power Weekend! Get double experience and credits all weekend long! This is a great way to build Legendary ranks quickly and dominate your foes. This will be especially useful if rain puts a damper on your BBQ and fireworks-related plans this weekend.

Bot Busting
Bots have been a problem for awhile in EpicDuel, and with this release, we are implementing a countermeasure to remove the incentive for botting. This countermeasure will also flag botters in our database so we will be able to track who is using bots and how often they do it. We want battles to be fun and fair for everyone, and botting disrupts that fun both for the botter and for anyone who encounters a bot. Hopefully, this feature will make EpicDuel dueling a more enjoyable experience for everyone!

Mother1 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 13:26:07)

While I am happy about the power weekend, I have to ask again what happened to the central city war that should have been up by now? It is the summer when most can play in the war yet it is being held up. Can I ask why?

dfo99 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 13:48:36)

how the countermeasure will works?

Variation -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 14:01:29)

^They'd be silly to explain how any of the "countermeasures" work.

Lord Machaar -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 14:05:10)

Seems like a decent update, I however agree with Mother1, the update is cool and has a lot of content, but I can assure you most players can go through it and finish it within hours if not minutes.
Looking forwared for the fix of juggernaut battle mode/2vs2 and ofcourse the fotrune city war.
Power weekend, time for some PVP action.

EDIT: Logged in just now, 148 players, today is thursday did they update today?

EDIT: Yup. Playing against Legendary Matrix, 20k HP and 20k energy, same moves of legendary titan, come on, you've got no imagination to change the battle strategy?

dfo99 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 14:12:53)

it's can result in people being randomly banned

Variation -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 14:24:58)

^Which is why we have a bug section on the forums and a help team.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 14:36:20)

I can promise you that if you are getting punished by the botting system you seriously need to reconsider how the play the game

SS -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:02:21)

Don't ever say that again. You want missions that need you to win 10 000 PvP battles? I'm sick and tired of the actual ones, and considering the (lack of) effort and imagination invested in this game... better don't.

Illuminist -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:06:03)

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:11:27)

@SS the mission chain requires 17 wins and five of them can be done in two to three hits(depends if the Mine Guard heals or not) so saying it would take hardcore fans no time at all if not an understatement. Even Hardcore chains fail to provide a weeks worth of content to those begging for things to do so just relax it does no one any good to be worked up.

@Illuminist okay you've listed some builds give me more context

Lord Machaar -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:15:40)

@OWA:
I think he is talking about the hardcore mission (1200 PVP wins).
Anyways, when is your next live stream? Can you invite Eona, I like her already lol.

SS -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:16:52)

It took me quite a while to get the 200 PvP kills, seeing as I refuse to go with the herd and start abusing stats. If I'm not wrong, there's another mission that requires 1000 PvP wins waiting for me. Since I only play 1-2 days a month, it will probably take me more than a year to complete this one. So if you want a mission to win 10k PvP wins - good for you! But I don't.

Lord Machaar -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:19:16)

@SS:
These hardcore missions aren't necessary to be completed, they are optionary, just like the defeat of legendary titan, completing them or not won't grant you anything in battle, just a cheevo and a couple of coreless mutating weapons.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:21:18)

@SS no new hardcore missions today so you ony have the old one to complete but frankly I never bothered with them. I know I would rather play the game for a few hours and do a few simple chains instead of dumping a few days into a hardcore chain.

@Machaar I was thinking tonight and doing both Bido's and M4tr1x's chain on OWA. I would have done it at release but a storm rolled in and I don't want to be live during a storm

Illuminist -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:22:21)

I did the hardcore missions in a week.
@owa, those build that I mentioned can be botted

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:29:31)

@Illuminist Any build can be botted it just depends what the meta is at that point in time

Yeah, I know, but the game becomes more and more boring with every update, so I resorted to missions for a little bit of diversity lately. Although, they have become just as boring, if not even more.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:34:24)

@SS here is my honest opinion as a player not as a staffer. If the game is feeling boring just let it sit for awhile and have some content and balance changes build up. When you come back and knock out the stuff you missed you will know if they game still holds interest for you. Missions don't go rare only seasonal at worst so you won't miss anything

Variation -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:38:11)

Just beat Legendary M4tr1x. It took exactly 303 rounds and she was a lot easier than Legendary Titan (Titan has a physical sidearm, M4tr1x's is energy so that is most likely why).

Lord Machaar -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 15:46:42)

Yeah, I noticed that she is way easier than legendary titan, on my way to defeat here (rank 21), but ofcourse another 79 ranks would've made it easier.

Also just to note, unlike legendary titan, Pyro fly can disable some main attacks of Matrix, such as bludegon and fire scythe (and overload) which is pretty great and gave me a hint to make a successful build against here.

Front45 -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 16:31:20)

I'm interesting when i'm trying to shop at m4tr1x it tells me that you must have m4tr1x token for buy. and how i can buy items. i must defeat her? and she drops? its impossible as legendary titan and as zedmyr if u are not tech mage or tactical mercenary. again added one npc which is impossible to defeat for 4 classes. and possible for 2 classes only. even i cant defeat saeva lionhart lol. so so bad

Daph Duck -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 16:36:20)

If you think you cannot beat saeva lionhart, zedmyr or even m4tr1x unless you're a tech mage or tactical mercenary that is a reflection of you as a player not the classes.

ConQrR -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 16:41:25)

Killed M4tr1x in 335 rounds. Good luck beating her to everyone.

Uchiha Sarada -> RE: July 02, 2015 - Dawn of Delta V (7/2/2015 17:05:31)

Matrix is way easier than Titan by alot, why?

Just because a few reasons:
It kinda uses the same skills as Legendary Titan but it seems that the fire scythe/Bludgeon are used way less, The first battle Matrix Used the 1st Bludgeon when she had 11k energy left and fire scythe was used at 9k energy.

This NPC uses Energy Gun and primary, also an energy aux.

The Npc uses gun and aux alot, which means that you can survive more because if this was titan he would of use powerfull skill, instead matrix uses the bazooka for no dmg at all giving players more turns to survive until heal.
